#2318725 Switching from EU to NA

For me, there was a noticeable difference in terms of skill lag.  Your inputs will be delayed quite a bit.

I like naked people.

I'm pretty sure nude pixelated people is one of the things that doesn't make GTA awesome. There are better features in GTA to pick on that an MMO simply can't do.

It's true though that people who complain about GW2 being unfriendly to alts are whining because they have to work twice as hard for their rewards.

If you ask me, one should expect that.

Stopped reading right here because you don't understand.

People are willing to work twice as hard.

They're willing to work harder.

But they're throttled by DR and daily rewards that are account bound.

Read the thread before offering your wooden nickels.

The rest of your tripe is telling people how they should play the game.

people that have a small understanding of maths shouldnt make proofs like this.. also your assumptions are weighted by your opinion and desired outcome.

firstly you're dealing with people here not numbers, people can have 2 different thoughts in their heads at one time and keep secrets or not mention all sources of influence. think of 2 people that have influence in your life, they dont necessarily have influence on each other or even know each other exist. eg. your mother and the boss of your company. and thats for a simple individual, now add in large secretive asuran organisation and A and C actually being related is even more of a stretch. even if A is related to B and B is related to C.

but the main point is dont use mathematical proof language to try and make your arguements sound more valid.. you're telling lies with maths and thats not cool.

#2226070 The Queen's Speech

Getting a single random, account bound mini per character was less than exciting.  Getting a fixed account bound mini per character is nothing less than a completely out of touch decision in my view.  As for the other gifts... an XP scroll?  For my lvl 80 character with several hundred skill points?  Only seems like it would be exciting for people making a new character.... will they give us a good reason to do so, when many people already made all their characters to get birthday gifts a year ago?  The only potentially interesting reward is the birthday booster... but with a 24-hour countdown I'm not sure how exciting it'll be.  Maybe if it gives a 50% of exotic drop for 24 hours or something (which will never happen).  Much more likely it'll be something on the order of +200% magic find and +100% karma for 24 hours.  Usable, but hardly as exciting.

I've said it before, but it's worth saying again:  minis are not exciting in GW2.  In GW1 they were interesting visual oddities with a decent market for them.  In GW2, they blend into the background (would you even be able to tell a mini-skritt from an actual skritt?) We've already had them dumped on us as rewards for temp content, as rewards for playing GW1, as rewards for just playing or buying the digital edition, not to mention having them in the gem store... how many people actually bother to take them out of the bank?  Most of these minis have also been account bound.

I really don't like to be this negative about anet, but to me they really are screwing the pooch here.  We'll just have to wait and see if they have something better up their sleeves (of course some/many won't bother).

If I read those dungeon changes right, did they change it such that you actually had to beat all the bosses/events in each path now?

I remember going to AC once and everyone just rolling through to the end of Detha's path.  No graveling kills or anything.

Yup.

Top of the OP.

Queen's Jubilee
  • Fixed the Crowd Favorite Gambit not activating correctly in one arena.
  • Fixed the Tremors Gambit not activating correctly in two arenas.
  • Queen's Gauntlet Tickets are no longer Account Bound and are now Soulbound on acquire.
  • Fixed a crash in the Achievement panel.

I'm glad I decided to make some 20 new characters for those tickets before the patch :P

#2224688 Queen's Jubilee - Patch Notes (6 August 2013)

Posted Katsumi Kei on 06 August 2013 - 02:07 PM

Exotic Drop
  • Play Queen’s Jubilee content for a chance at the exotic Watchwork Portal Device recipe.
  • The recipe requires a level 400 artificer. It requires 5 Orichalcum Ingots, 1 Master Tuning Crystal, 1 Charged Lodestone, and 75 Watchwork Sprockets.
  • The Watchwork Portal Device is a one-time use consumable that allows players to create a portal between two points. It cannot be used in conjunction with the mesmer’s portal
I cannot help myself but laugh :D it is cheaper to roll a mesmer and level it with crafting all the way! :D

Overall, i am very happy with the patch notes. :)

Dont get me wrong, I understand your concern. Some people do enjoy farming CoF and only CoF. But I dont think Anet thought from the very beginning "Hey! Lets make a dungeon that can be farmed in 15m that gives out the most money and gear in the game. So much so that you'll never want to play any other dungeon ever again."

And it would be fantastic if the initiative to do other areas was created by making those areas interesting instead of making them interesting because you nerfed CoF.
I mean, they are throwing out content every 14 days, yet they can't put that effort into fixing the stuff that was broken when the game shipped.

I'm glad Kiel is ahead. Anything to keep a charr from winning.

The new Phoenix armor goes really well with the T4 armor. Saving up for the pants but until then I think this looks pretty good.
