I would like to point out this is in no way affliated with ArenaNet and their recent developments in Dragon Bash.

Infact, this was developed completely independently from ANet.

Bumping! We're still actively recruiting folk across all time zones!

Updated with our weekly events, these are guild based and server based. (As in,the guild does them, but the server is welcome to join)
Sunday: 8AM SERVER time: Guild Bounties, follow by Guild Bounty Training (for influence)
Weds: 5PM SERVER time: Zergy Zone Clears - We basically zerg up and clear zones! (Still a work in progress event)
Friday: 6PM SERVER time: WvWvW Reset Madness - Usually we go to a non-home borderlands and do smaller group havoc stuff

We also work with other guilds on Sea of Sorrows to do events with them too, so there are more than just that listed. There is almost always something going on.

Should also be noted:

I have not farmed anywhere in a week, I have been in WvW (go Sea of Sorrows!). I went to the Corrupted Lode Farm at Icefloe. My drops are only EXTREMELY SLIGHTLY less than they were before. As in, I really don't see any change.

To those who are claiming Ice Floe doesn't give you anything. How much did you farm before hand, where did you farm, and how were drops there?

... I'm pretty sure ANet are up to their old tricks again.

I'm just going to stop you right there. And tell you that is extremely absurd. If there is a notable change in drop rate, it does not mean ANet is trying to get you to buy their stuff and make money. Get that absurdly idiotic idea out of your head.

If Anet adjusts drop tables, they will say so in the patch notes. There has been nothing on the change of drop tables in the notes, so that is not it.

IF there is a change and it goes unnoticed, it is a bug. And as such should be reported to Arenanet to be fixed. I do not believe it is a big, I just think that it's the Southsun update screwing with everyone's head.

Well, I would rather look at it differently, first.

I'm a scientist by study, so allow me propose a view on it the way I have been taught to look at such problems.

Before the southsun update, it wasn't bad. That is quite obvious, I think almost all of us can agree, but now it seems off. What has changed since then?

First, Southsun has popped up with it's 200% MF buff.
Secondly, Skelks got completely over farmed and "fixed"
Thricely (Thirdly?): Southsun has drained the population of all the higher level zones, that is the baseline population is now considerably lower. For some zones, non-existant (looking at you Cursed Shore!)

What do those three things mean in relation to loot drops?
1) It could be that weird psychological thing that a lot of people call "New stuff syndrome." That could be applied here. We have all been farming southsun so much with the MF that we have grown accustomed to it and when we move off to other zones to farm, it feels as though we're getting worse drops and something is broken, when it is infact not.
2) Respawn rate, I don't know for a fact, but based on observation with Southsun skelk farming, respawn rates are affected by the population of the surrounding area/zone. Southsun has clearly far more people than all the other farming zones. More people, higher respawn rate, higher loot drops. This would explain why Skelk was an "Eh" farm before the Southsun update but after it's the bee's knees.
3) They did something with the MF code with the update and the loot tables got bugged. It's a far more common mistake than you'd think. I highly doubt this is it because then the loot tables for the other farms across all zones would've been wonky. I'm going to assume it's the first 2.

Specifically, I want to think it's #2. When farming skelk (post-update) or group farming anywhere with 5+ people or in high pop zones, respawns always seemed to be very quick. But when I was in a lower pop zone, say Southsun pre-update, there would be some downtown on the farms. I'll have to look into it a bit more, but based on preliminary observation, I assume that this is most likely the cause. We won't know for sure until post Southsun update.
