In Topic: Guild Wars 2 doesn't feel right

12 September 2012 - 11:50 AM

One word: PvP.
That's the only thing I feel nostalgic about Guild Wars as the PvP of Guild Wars 2 isn't as good as it was in the first chapter.
I really don't feel nostalgic about PvE, it was just bad.

In Topic: So tired of creating/deleting characters, please someone help?

Well, I really can't find Necro boring. A lot of timing is required and skill spamming is just uneffective, at least at higher level with lots of mobs on you.
I mean, if you're running as scepter/dagger (as 95% of the necros), you should not use Grasping Dead as a spamming skill, but only when you're out of endurance and melee enemies are approaching to you.
Also, you should not use Deathly Swarm as a spam, but only when you have ton of conditions on you, to make that skill much more effective.
You should also know when the right moment to enter in Death Shroud or to cast Spectral Armor comes.
Many other management is required, also.

I mean, if you play it like a warrior or a thief, spamming skills to 1 to 5, of course it is boring.
If you find the Necro boring, probably you are playing it in wrong way...

In Topic: condition build boring...or am i just playing wrong?

Well, yes and not. Condimancer are supposed to be a support/pressure class, which must be paired with a high damage profession, like warrior or thief to be effective and fun to play. Playing alone is quite boring (if you do so).
Try to team up with someone and enjoy the cross profession combos paired with the condition management skills the necro has.

In Topic: What exactly does the end game consist of?

Played over 100 hours and I'm still level 69 (what a nice level!) and less than 30% of the map.
Once you've finished the game with your first character, you can restart playing with another profession and another race, to have a different storyline and gameplay. If you want to keep playing with your first character, there are tons of armor and weapon really hard to make and 8 crafting disciplines to master. Some weapons I've heard that require 2 specific crafting disciplines at level 400 to be crafted.
Otherwise, if you are bored about PvE, you can build up a new character and level it up only in WvW, or, maybe, start playing sPvP.
sPvP needs tons of playtime to really master a profession and be competitive at. Also, there are 100 levels (I think) in sPvP and lots of armor/weapons to unlock for PvP only.

I can't really figure out how you can have difficulties to understand the GW2 endgame xP

Well, you played Scholar and Adventurer, it's time to play Soldier. Warrior or Guardian, you choose.
