Okay, lets shoot this off else where an actually talk about Guild Wars 2 and why it doesn't have some obvious game features and yes, I have fully understood your previous quotations before you ask.
I could list so many pointers on how this game could be made more appealing with some simple features but I'm going to list 2 main things.
#1 Has a level cap in every single zone - I mean, why would they need to have done this, to stop power levelers? Isn't it a bit obivious on how to stop this from happening?
We shouldn't have to run through a zone(depening what zone it is) trainning monsters with whatever level you are(assuming you're a higher level than the actual monsters) to potentially die for whatever reason, mining, gathering and so on.
#2 Has no Inspect/Examine - For those who don't know what that is(assuming you all do), you're able to Inspect/Examine a player to check their gear/weapons or accessories for whatever reason. Why should you have to spend time and time again grinding for your Legendary weapon and not get to show it off? Not everyone will notice the effects off the weapon if their not paying attention.

#1 Fails to mention actual end-game content and doesn't even realize the activities you can do at max level or possibly at any other level, since levels really don't matter that much is this game.
#2 Successfully mentions useless features that really aren't needed in the game.
Oh and I wonder why they would de-level.... possibly because they don't want you to one shot everything and rush through the content. Plus there is a lot more to come, and when I say that I mean A LOT. Anets primiary focus will be content, once they have gotten rid of all the major bugs.
