None of what you wrote matters.

Tomes take a few minutes, crafting a few hours, everything else will get you to max level within a day or two. Ascended weapons are cheap, trinkets are essentially free and armor doesn't matter. In fact the difference between pink and orange gear is so minimal that you would only get it if you have money to spare. Plus it's account bound which means it can be shared by several characters.

The bottom line is that "GW2 did/didn't have that" is not an argument. You have to compare GW2 with current games of this genre that enough people actually play.

I guess we should just ignore how long it takes to get 79 tomes or 59 and a lvl 20 scrolls, or gold it would take to get 80 off crafting alone. In GW1 you just quested a few hours.

I just wish I could skip the atrocious dialogue in those cutscenes we are forced to sit through and talk to an NPC to get a text version of the story.

I know, I know, we gotta be all MMO2.0 nextgen but it's not any better than just reading quest text to me. Special place in my heart for LS achievements, they literally design them so you have to do the missions 2 or 3 times to get all of them.

What a bunch of losers lol 2015 and they can't do what GW1 had from the start: option to skip scenes. inb4 'it's not that easy'

Obviously a Night Elf so I can be Illidan in GW2.

LS was a drought though, 15-30 minutes of content every few weeks with lots of down time didn't feel like we were getting anywhere at all to me personally. Especially when it felt those LS episodes were 90% lesbian cutscenes and touchy feely bullshit with 10% actual story.

Like really, I don't care at all about the characters in there... pure annoyance and holding the story back. The only positive comment I can give to the LS is at least it gave ANet a lore excuse to introduce the new profession when rytlock entered the mists.

I really hope the actual story of things picks up in HoT and Mordremoth isn't going to be another mindless drone like Zhatain was, though that definitely feels what is happening since both attacks from his general dragon have just been random attacks. Remember when dragons could talk in GW1?FFS Anet how boring, at least it gives them less characters to write so we can focus more on intimate relationships!!!

2015 taimi and braham have lovers quarrel, shit gets heated, can't waittttt

In Topic: Where did Blizzard go wrong with D3 and what A.Net could learn from it.

"where did we go wrong"

Well they hired a bunch of randoms with no experience in D2, like ANet did with GW1 sequel.

No one expects a sequel to be COMPLETELY different and when you crush their dreams like that people are going to be pissed. Even more infuriating is the lack of features that the prequel had (???? lol.) essentially regressing development and massively dumbing the game down.

If Blizzard North were the ones behind D3 then it would have remained a massive success, you can call it a success technically just off of how many people purchased it but it was and is a failure. D3 was simply riding off the success of D2, just like GW2 only to turn around and ♥♥♥♥ you in the ass.
