Oh yes,I've flung myself off cliffs a couple of times as well, Now I don't use any jump ability around edges, its just too dangerous :/

Yep, Misses quite a lot for me, to the point where I barely trust it anymore. (Any range)
Also irritating when it decides to jump in the opposite direction of where you want to go.
