I've tried the quest four times now, always with the same result. Someone on Reddit suggested I talk to Gixx while stunned at the end of the fight, but he's always out of range.
Any other ideas?

Had the same problem, what I had to do was make sure all the minions were dead before i killed the ghost, then while i was stunned/knocked down after ghost was dead, talk to Gixx. Worked this time.
