Probably Mesmer. Or Necromancer.

I've always concidered Warrior Rifle > Ranger Longbow, it seems to do way more damage, the burst skill does 10k+ and the 3 skill does similar damage. I can barely get up to 7k with the rangers 2 skill.
It does way more damage because of Kill Shot. Adrenaline is a class mechanic that... "just works™."
Pets, on the other hand, are highly unpredictable in pretty much every aspect of the game. They are supposed to bridge that gap and provide us with as much versatility as all the other classes, but in reality... well, we all know how that goes. A real exercise in frustration.
We need a more reliable class mechanic. Also, better utility skills.
Don't get me wrong though, I still adore my ranger alt. But I know full well that it's "subpar" in every single way, when compared to my warrior main. Less useful, less damaging, less reliable...
This awesome class deserves more.

It's not for everyone, that's for sure, but I had fun.
Haven't even made it to level 2 yet, since my group disbanded after some DCs -- they need to fix that asap -- but the dungeons seemed challenging enough.
Some of the fractals reminded me of the LotRO dungeons, from the Moria expansion. Only better.
That said, I can also see this being a real breeding ground for elitists. Hope I'm wrong though.
