I run a full support traited Guardian with two sets of armor. One catered toward DPS, another catered toward survivability.
I switch armors like I switch weapons; All depending on the group I'm with, and the mob I'm facing. Guardian is my main.

I just hit 80 today on my Warrior. I've only geared him up half way, still playing with traits. DPS is definitely higher. Survivability is a bit lower, but not by much, since I've gotten really good about dodging while leveling him.

Playing my Guardian, I keep my party up while they do the major DPS.
This allows me to play my warrior with the mentality that my group's Guardian, is going to do the best he can to keep me up while I do my High DPS thing.

Guardians bring a lot of survivability to the group.
Warriors bring a lot of DPS to the group.
These classes have pretty strong synergy between them.

Definitely make one of both. They're very useful in dungeons, and it really feels nice to have a variety.

what is spvp?

Structured PvP (sPvP) is essentially just your average hot join PvP.
Tournament PvP (tPvP) is 5v5, Knock out rounds, reward based PvP

If new gear is mandatory, give me more bank space.
I support more back slots though :)

If I remember correctly, there's a karma/heart merchant on the west side of Brisban Wildlands, I wanna say somewhere near the desert area.

Hey there, I currently use Knight and Berserker's combined on my Guardian.
Sometimes I'll go down, but not often. This is mainly due to the fact that I know the dungeon in and out.
Toughness is important for longer battles, while vitality is more to survive that burst damage you may stumble into on accident.

A solid team comp and communication between each other is very important, both visual and verbal.
If you don't know the people in your PUG, explain what your role is. Let them know your weaknesses.

Learning about combo effects helps a lot.
Your death may just be prevented by a guardian laying down a wall of reflection so you can get condition removal with your projectiles.

Here's a link to what combo effects are. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Combo

Keep in mind that not all team compositions work so well, compared to others.
Read a bit on the combo effects, make a group of dungeons friends over time, and PRACTICE.
I'm sure you'll be able to overcome your situation.

Best of luck!
