You probably have Pirate runes equipped on the PvP armour of your mesmer.

In Topic: I'm trying really hard to like this game

After I finished the story and played some WvW and sPvP I started doing the explorer achievements and jumping puzzles. Now, I login wherever I feel bored and I want to be able to do things without having to think. Seriously, if you're trying hard to like this game you should just accept that this game's time has passed and move on.

FA was competitive? It was team play? You could roll a bonder or Air of Enchantment prot monk and mindlessly spam to singlehandedly win the game. Heck, it didn't matter if you died you rezzed in about 4 seconds with no death penalty. Ultimately, FA and JQ were PvE.
Personally, I like the trait system over the attribute point system. I think it gives far more viable options on how you want to build even if some trait lines are broken.

I don't know if it's been changed but if you log off and then log back in the spam filter resets itself.
