So... you took Consecrated Ground and then no Consecrations?

I swap my slots sometimes, as I said. when I run with consecrations the most common one I use is Sanctuary though Purging Flame (or whatever it is to damage opponents + cure conditions) is another possibility as well. But Sanctuary is powerful enough with the Consecrated Ground because it has tons of utility uses (a common, hilarious use for it is to put it in front of a tower or keep door and watch the inbound defenders bounce off and get owned by your gate-crashing buddies - or if you are on defense, to drop it onto an assembled ram or gate so people have a harder time attacking, allowing friends to pick them off).

Mostly though, I'm shout-based. My mobility is my priority, which, sadly, eliminates methods involving the mace + shield. Nice defensive abilities - awful mobility.

I'm all lazy, so I'll repost what I did to our server forums:

Note that slot 7 is interchangeable for me. I may sometimes use Save Yourselves (very nice guardian skill which gives you ALL boons regardless of whether you pull conditions from players) or Sanctuary (great for protecting rammers, preventing people from getting into narrow spots and for holding circles).

My spec into Virtues ensures all my Boons last 20% longer - an eternity in PvP. Swiftness -, for example, lasts 30 seconds with this build. And don't let the missing boon icons fool you - with this build, I can grant ANY boon to my groups - I just use my staff and greatsword to assign the remaining ones my Utility skills don't cover. More importantly, though, I have Absolute Resolution, which increases my passive Virtue of Resolve effect and allows me to clear 3 conditions when I pop it. It's the difference between my build and yours, and I've found it to have great effect.

The build requires you to be situationally aware during a push or battle. Pan your camera. Use dodge rolls in reaction to what's worth dodging (mass red circles, or a means to get away). The build means every time you dodge roll, you heal yourself and everyone else. Staff 4 with my gear ensures I heal for between 2.8k - 3k to over 12-15 targets at once, 1-2k for Staff 2, and 400 per tick with sanctuary. Tome of Courage gives me 1.-1.9k a heal with Tome 1. Remember, like most classes in GW2, weapon swapping to fit your situation is key. My weapon choices ensure I can switch between wholesale support healer and DPS tank pusher with ease.

Gear-wise, I run all 80 exotics. Cleric's set (power, toughness, healing power) with a couple god's/temple exotics that have power, toughness, and vitality to give my already low health pool a boost. I run with about 15k HP - low, but it takes forever and a day to kill me. which is the point - 2000 toughness and close to that for armor is what I have with all of this.

Hope that helps.
