It doesn't matter what you were referencing - the entire AMA came down to the 3 points I listed. There was no "back-pedalling PR statement" after he was "called out".

Keep ignoring reality. Brilliant plan.

[snip irrelevant quotes]

Good job completely ignoring the quote I was referencing.

This is exactly what we where hoping that would never happen with GW2.

Completely agreed. One of the main reasons I bought it, that's for sure. But I guess it's more important to make the game as repetitive and grindy as possible to please the no-lifers.

Unless you've got access to the code, calling FACTS based on patch notes is really dumb. Bugs exist.

(not saying drop rates have been reduced, just pointing out the gaping flaws in your argument).

This. My exact point from my earlier posts. If you don't have the source code, blindly accepting whatever is in the patch notes as how it's working is incredibly naive, and claiming it's "fact" that it's implemented that way without access to the code is called being "full of shit".

They may have intended to increase drop rates, but there is literally zero way to verify that it's actually working without source code. So Sword Hammer Axe, put the relevant source code up or stop talking out your ass.

Yeah lets listen to and put faith in what Anet says.

That's worked out pretty well so far.

Also, to put those quotes in the OP in context, he only claimed they were going to "avoid" (yeah, SOOOO hard to not set all the materials costs to 250x rare mats) this type of grind after he was called out for saying that they design everything with "minimal grind".

In other words, I hold zero value in that response because it was a direct result of being called out on an absurd claim. It was nothing more than PR backpedaling once he noticed people were pissed that he claimed 24x skill points, 50 ectos, 250x T6 mats and 1350 relics was a "minimal grind".
