Anet devs said that WvW would be getting an update/overhaul in February

They're going to reset server ratings this Friday

Friday = the new matchups, also February 1st

The Frost and Flame update was over a gig, but didn't really contain much besides the refugees/living story

Conclusion: New WvW maps this Friday, somehow tied to the living story (the refugees are refugees from wvw)

What do you think about current map design?

Really hoping Anet makes a new wvw map soon, if nothing for a change of pace.

BLs are too small, too stalematey with balanced pops, garrison trebbing bay is silly and the towers are ridiculously hard to take due to spawn rushing.

EBG has a nice design, but it seems as soon as one team gets an upgraded SM they get free reign to dominate the other two teams, not that this is a bad thing.

My suggestion is to have bigger maps with more neutral territory, as currently every tower and keep is in a team's "homeland". Skilled servers and small groups would shine more, while a losing server could fallback to more places. Servers would become less demoralized if they lose a tower that is 25% of their score on the map, or a keep that is over 50% of their score if they had more more territory and feel like they can gain it back.

Is there a good thread/site explaining attributes?

Attributes being power, precision, toughness etc. Not something like "power increases damage" but more into the details like numbers (how much damage increase does each point of power give) and how different items/skills/traits stack with each other.
