Personally I build the traits slightly differently. I like the Power Wrench trait as opposed to Scope. Faster cooldown on all your toolbelt skills so faster cooldown on getting your Static Discharge off.

This is incorrect.

Power Wrench according to wiki reduces cooldown for Tool Kit Skills not Tool Belt Skills, so Static Discharge cannot be spammed more with that trait. I've not tested this in game, feel free to correct me in I'm wrong.

This and my other recent builds will probably be the last ones and this the last post you'll see from me due to overly draconian mods on this site.

I've no idea why I even signed in, but I think it just bothered me. I did have power wrench myself at one point while running the old SD Rifle build in WvW and was disappointed too when I realized the wording in the trait description was not what I thought it was.

Have fun and say no to censorship.

Congratulations, you're cheap and don't care that someone is getting taken advantage of

Oh I am but I do. There are just so many thick people in the world, look how sport stars lead millionaire life styles because of the vast numbers of working class sheep who are happy to fund it all, or how organized religous groups/cults milk their followers, I could go on derailing the topic so I wont.

It's not my fault the majority of people seem so guileable.

I also don't plough in anywhere near as much time as I would if I was younger and still living at home (34, full time employment etc etc) As I'm that old I'm also of the opinion that I wont pay rent for a game, ie a sub fee. in my Amiga days you bought the game, you played it ,fixed cost, not a never ending cycle.

Doesn't bother me if they do use the black market for gold, they're just handing their money over to someone else other than NCSoft.

Where did you get the idea people buying black market gold annoyed me?

You wanna stand there and auto-attack + F-skills?

1. Don't stand there
2. Don't use auto attack, there's plenty of other stuff to press.
3. You're correct, it's not for fractals, but as I stopped doing them a month or so ago (bored), I may just take all the burst pve builds and run them in there for entertainment value.
4. It's bloody hot today in the motherland eh?

There are too many ways, as we have already seen, to take advantage of the consumer, and the consumer eats it up because they aren't paying a sub fee.

I'm just saying that I would rather have all people be able to be on equal footing without having to pay money to cash shop. In GW2, those who pay more money have nicer things. That, in my opinion, is asinine.

I for one am glad that there's no sub fee and a cash shop, it's a better deal for me.

I bought GW1, expansions, extra slots each with a cost in RL money and paid no sub fee.

I bought GW2 with RL money and pay no sub fee. Everything else is buyable with in game money, ie free :D an improvement from my point of view I think you'll agree. I have legendaries, the armour looks I require, ascended stuff, pretty much anything and everything I want from within the game, I even bought junk stuff like broomsticks for 2 characters, hats etc all with gold.

I get my game bankrolled by the plant-pots who buy gems with RL cash, so carry on I say and thanks for making the new game cheaper for me.

I just don't think they are good traits.

Especially Scope. I don't see a single situation in which it would be more useful than Adrenal.

If you're playing Engie you should always have swiftness and always have vigor/ equivalent. Just my opiniooown.

I use Scope over Adrenal because you're supposed to be over 600 range and not dodging, with that in mind you can see one trait is more useful than the other.

I disagree with you that engineer must have vigor and swiftness all the time, unless you have the trait that buffs damage for each boon, which this doesn't. This build does have perma swiftness though as PvE is a big place to run around, but if there was an alternative that pushed more % damage increases, I'd use it and drop the swiftness too.

Awesome :) , few days ago I watched again my Alien 2 collector edition blu ray with the 2 versions of the movies, and yeah the extended one :o

Nice build, gonna try this one asap. Thx

Aliens: The Special Edition is the best movie ever made.

If only engineers had an elite turret that was like those Sentry Guns.... :(

One of the nice things about this build (referring specifically to the build as detailed in the first post in this particular thread, located on the engineer PvE sub-forum of the guildwars2guru website) is that it scales pretty well in group environments.

It does solid burst even without any inherent might which allows it to grow more powerful with group composition.

You're probably never going to do top notch sustained dps with the previously mentioned build, but as far as burst goes, it does a pretty good job.

I've noticed something like that myself, the damage is excellent, but there's no might, crazy! When you do a DE with other people and the enemy is loaded with all the conditions in the game and there are might stacks being flung around willy-nilly, the damage numbers do indeed keep getting bigger and bigger.

You're also correct this is not a sustain DPS build, but I'm bored shitless of that these days. I cannot be bothered waiting to set up damage whether from might stacking builds, condition damage, grenades or flamethrower. I want big spike numbers straight away, and this build does deliver that.

On another note I have pinched someones WvW solo/roamer guardian build, changed stuff for PvE and now run myself. It does the same thing as this, selfish, non-might stacking, ridiculous burst damage, which I'll post in the PvE section of that profession.

These builds are far more fun to play, big fast damage that only get more powerful (for yourself) when you fight alongside others.

For organized, pre-built, guild speedclear teams, they are not suited, but for myself, and I assume a lot of others, that's not how I play the game.
