So the conclusions of what every one have written here are

Confuse in PvE is terrible due to the fact that they attack too slow to be effective.
Focus is favoured for its utility compared to guns/ swords/ torch.
There is a discusion between off-hand swords and guns. Where both has its pro and con.

Its nice to see these facts, and I can see how that works... But then again regardless to confuse... Isn't that the only thing condition mesmer excels at? I mean sure you can have sigil that inflict bleed on weapons, but the other conditions are completely random if you go staff which most likely you will do. Most of the shatter trait inflict confuse. Would it be wrong to go condition mesmer in PvE?

Beside there is Giganticus Lupicus which I have noticed in phase 3 love to stand and spam those green things. I usually place feedback once he does that and I get nice numbers of spam. Then i'd imagine what if I could throw in confuse in that scenario...?

I don't know about this, but I do agree about something my friends kept telling me about the precursors and its the price... Its a huge problem and its been talked in hundreds, if not thousands of forum pages around the world. The price is ridiculous, the RNG play is stupid. Let's say dusk. For the current player price range 600-750g. You could probably come out there with almost the whole "mist weapon" set with that kind of money. You could buy 4 if not 5 toons with full t3 with that kind of money. (The idea is with that money you could buy several skin, then just only one fancy skin with some fancy particle)

When Karka event was released and people claimed to get precursors out from that chests (like very high chance), the price was ok. I mean Dawn at that given time was 180-200g. That's acceptable compared to what it is now.

Arenanet has plenty of time mentioned of this so called Scavange hunting for precurors, but so far its all about playing RNG or farming PVE content till your fingers bleed. (mainly spam CoF for cash).

I don't really know about this change it seems like they want it to be harder to get ecto. Despite Ascended accesory cost 40 laurel + 50 etc. Upgrading fractal backpack cost 250 etc. but then again there are rare quality making it a perfect time to try mystic toilet for precursor as these rare drop pretty often... but main concerns are ecto... imho.

I don't understand why people are so.. "hate this post, cause it has a hard fail build in it" The thing with build is. This is theory crafting, with idea/ points giving out to convince you to buy this build. By saying buy I mean try the build out. You're free to do whatever you want with your damn warrior, but this guy is only SUGGESTING a way to play your warrior.

Now whatever comes after that I'd be happy to try this build out and see if it fits my playstyle, if not try something else... like sonicboon...

I wanted to try a new class. I've managed to play one caster up (a necromancer) but just the way my personality is wither i like it or not just automatically goes back to a warrior like profession. Sure I could try D/D ele which I've done a couple of time just to feel the close combat a warrior has. but its sparkel of magic and no metal involved just make me... ah this is so not like warrior. Saddens me.

And also the reason why I managed to level a necromancer was because of their healthpool it could take some beating without dying.
