But yeah...good luck getting ANet to implement great rewards for high risk.  They've kind of bend over backwards to make everyone feel equal.

I apologize, when I meant reward, I did not just mean physically reward like loot, though I think that's quite important too, but even the right to say I completed X or Y and its the hardest part of the game and it takes a lot skill/teamwork/whatever. I just feel like there isn't any content in the game that would make me say that.

I think the "sense of accomplishment" is also why people do not like ascended weapons/armor increase. I believe it is less so to do with the stats but more about, the fact that there is hardly any skill required to get them other than logging on. If the reward for doing content is good enough, than people will not mind death-penalties or money-gated content. For example, getting an Eternal Blade was one of my goals for GW1. So, putting up with the difficulty of UW and the repeated kicks became irrelevant, when I finally got it from the end chest. It was the same thing for the BDS with Shards of Orr.

If the reward for the dungeon isn't that great, then I would be totally against introducing harsher death penalties, because what would be the point.

I believe people complain, is that for me this game is 50-50. There is a lot that Guild Wars 2 does great, like faily fluid combat, large world, nice lore that doesn't annoy me, and the classes are fairly distinct in terms of play style, or at least they were supposed to be. However, there is a lot wrong with it too. PVE content and living story have tons of flaws. I feel that GW2 could be a great game but there are a lot of decisions that developers made, which I disagree with. So I go on forums to express my disagreement, and hope the the developer makes better decisions regarding their game.

I agree with Satenia. I do not think a one wipe kicked out of dungeon mechanic is good. However, having like 4-5 tries on full wipe then being sent out of the dungeon is fair. It prevents brute forcing bosses, which makes them dull and requires that even bugs have to have some sort of mechanical understanding of the bosses and/or encounters. But I think overall GW2 needs an UW/FoW/SE elite area, that is different from other dungeons. Somewhere where players can actively improve their skill and is challenging.

Yeah, but I remain sceptical that this will force people to changed from zerkers. Even with a 10% nerf, zerker's is still better choice than alternatives. There needs to be drastic change in mechanics and enemies before that's no longer the case.
