I play p/d on a daily basis and fool with builds similar to this all the time. The points into trickery are a waste they should be in acrobatics imo. Acrobatics provides you with swift on dodge and endurance regen on each dodge as well (boon duration and vitality never hurts as well). The only point of putting 20 points into deadly arts is to get the venoms are 20% faster trait. Poison has a ridiculously long duration already and does not need a 33% increase. So basically no matter how much you tweak wild bill's build it always ends up being best to just use it exactly as he has it set up. Venom share tends to be ineffective in pvp tbh since the only good ones to share are devourer/basilisk and your teammates need to know when/how to use it for maximum effect. There is really no point in stacking poison 1 min+ in pvp since it can just be removed. Venom share is most useful for me in dungeons when fighting bosses.

I've been moving away from venoms recently because as you said shadow refuge is awesome and we need a stun break. Signet of shadows is great for the move speed/stomping foes cause it blinds their teammates and shadowstep gives us the much needed stunbreak as well as on demand condition removal. With 30 points into acrobatics you can also get Hard to catch as a trait which will save your life pretty much every time its used.

I struggle with the traits in my build because I love infusion of shadow>shadow's embrace and also pain response>quick recovery.

edit: forgot to mention the new heal on mug which is awesome for a carrion build since we don't crit anyways.

I just got the moot last week but unfortunately it is on my guardian and cannot put it in my offhand.

I would think that Krushchev would be right, and it is worth it since it is so easy to make. Took me 4 months to make Incinerator, 6 weeks for moot.

Additionally, even in the scenario you provided about being in a party is not what actually helps you get badges. Simply running in a zerg vs another zerg does.  Being in a party does 0 to help you get badges.
Hell being in a party gives no real bonus other than making communication/coordination with 4 other people easier.
In regards to drops/tagging/damage, it is just as effective to just go out there solo and run with the zerg.

Implying that being in a party is needed to help people get badges implies that the OP would need to sit there and spam "LFG" in his borderland before he could hope to really make a decent amount of badges.  That isnt the case....

Oh and you need to do a certain amount of damage to your target to qualify for a chance at loot/badges.....not 'hit them one time'.  This is the same for PvE as in WvW.

You realize your parties damage counts as yours? right? so yes if your party did 99% of the damage you would only have to hit him one time. I also love how you state that you must do a "specific" amount of damage but have no figures to back it up. 5%? 10%? That's only solo. The group has to do a certain amount of damage for xp/badges not you!

ONCE YOU BECOME A PARTY YOUR DAMAGE COUNTS AS IF IT IS ONE PERSON.(as long as you hit the target for at least 1 point of damage like I previously stated.)

So I guess you don't have any friends or guildies? since when does anyone spam LFG in this game.... And yes being in a solid group (preferably guildies/voice chat) is the best way to get badges, not following a zerg you cannot control.

I said nothing about not being able to make decent badges from zerg running, just stated what in my experience is the best way to get badges.

This is correct. However, it is exactly 10 levels per crafting profession if you do 1-400 in a sitting. If you do all 8 crafting professions you will achieve level 80 without ever having to leave Lion's Arch.

For example, its very easy to kill someone as a thief. Stealth and great positioning tools/mobility followed up by insane burst means easy kill even in the hands of a complete noob.
On the side of the mesmer, they have a lot of utility such as portals and AoE stealth which makes them a very popular pick in an environment such as WvWvW.

Flavor of the month just refers to the most played profession at that time which in turn is GENERALLY the most op profession because people like to win in pvp. (pve too for that matter)
