I have been toying with elementalist D/D builds for a few months now, definitely my favorite profession to theorycraft with. This one was probably my tenth variation of this build and it provides an incredible amount of survivability coupled with enough damage to run solo in the cursed shore for most if not all events. It provides infinite Fury, Swiftness, Regeneration, Vigor, and you always have somewhere between 3 and 25 stacks of might.
This is the best solo build on an ele that I have played. It does well in WvW for solo roaming as well if your into that sort of thing. It can also be very good for dungeons if you take the Aura sharing trait in water, that can be immensely helpful to a group with a guardian/warrior stack.
Knight's Armor with 2 runes of the monk, 2 water, 2 strength
Jewelry is up to you whether you feel you need more dps/survivability
Weapons are berserker's with bloodlust and a sigil of battle.
10 pts fire -cantrips grant might
20 pts air - zephyr's boon, bolt to the heart (this can be air recharges faster if you find fury isn't up all the time.)
30 pts water - cantrips recharge faster, cantrips grant regen and vigor, regen cures conditions
10 pts arcana - elemental attunement
You MUST use your favorite 3 cantrips, I find mist form to be unnecessary but again its up to you. The cantrips provide an unbelievable amount of Regen, Vigor and Might and are truly the best part of this build!
