#2120314 GW2 endgame = jump puzzles and mini dungeons.

There is no "End Game" in MMOs. I wish that term would die.

These cats were found in a home, abandoned by themselves. I took them in, not knowing they didn't have much time on this earth. They all died within 2-3 weeks because they had feline leukemia, and some were malnourished :'( the one in the first post died 2 days after that picture, and the one on the bottom is the house they were in and the owner left them in a cold house with no warmth, and it was filthy too :'(
all total there were about 9 cats that had been abused
You just ruined my entire day, thank you.

#2119505 why so much negativity

Posted Kymeric on 16 December 2012 - 12:07 AM

The official forum is filled with plenty of negativity.  For all Anets reputation of locking down dissenting voices, there's plenty that is left alone.

As to forums being filled with negativity, people are very critical, and forums don't have the social structures that keep us from blurting out whatever comes to mind at any given moment.  If we took all the posters to the ANet offices for a face-to-face open feedback session, you can bet the tone would be a lot more civil.

Anonymity brings out the worst in people.

Oh, and the best parts of Guru aren't in Tyrian Assembly.  That's where you'll find the most ranting.

#2118099 Why this game will never meet my expectations

Posted Sword Hammer Axe on 14 December 2012 - 06:09 PM

Ok, I am not entirely sure, but I think a thread with this exact premise and point has been up tons of times before.

Should that be the case: Please don't make a whole new thread based on your own opinion. Your opinion is not so special that you deserve your own thread.

Should it not be the case: Yeah, it's a different team, but isn't it bad to view the original team as something special? When you have expectations of the godly, the slightest sign of mortality would completely shatter the illusion. Plus, this game has already been praised to the sky both before and after its release for its innovative design and its good gameplay, so I don't think it's as bad as you want to make it seem. That being said I agree it has problems, but as if GW ever was a perfect game as well.

I feel your pain man.  the following happened to me yesterday in wvw and I was rather irritated.

I went afk for about 5 mins... when I came back... i was dead.  WTF ANET!!!  I WENT AFK!!!

when people kill me... all i hear is "gg newb..learn to dodge".  seriously.. you can only dodge twice and your spent...ppl attack way more than 2 times.  And stuns... please, I'm terrible..how in the hell am I gonna stun break in the 3 seconds it takes to kill me.  It ain't gonna happen ANET!  I'm bad... I need like 10 seconds for proper reaction to identify where on my bar there is a freaking stunbreak.  By the time I move my mouse pointer over the ability to click it... thats about 15 seconds.  If the time to kill isn't AT LEAST 15 seconds... the game is BROKEN!!  way to go ANET.. way to go.

#2085641 Help, how to play Ele after this patch ?

Posted Murmer on 18 November 2012 - 05:42 AM

Everyone has only been talking about "support" elementalist not having an issue... but the problem is that not everyone wants to only play support when playing an elementalist. I personally don't *care*, honestly, that I can let ~everyone else have the combo fields~. I'm sorry, call me a selfish player, but I *liked* it when I could take part in blast finishing in those combo fields. Now I can't, and it's really annoying because I wasn't specced to be a toughness/vit/condition damage boring S/D build that gets his damage nerfed when *anyone* starts bleeding and burning besides me.

Right now, I'm basically doing what CepaCepa mentioned. Taking that power/precision/crit damage to staff and just staying at range. Though I do take the summon weapons. Frostbow and Greatsword. The greatsword's damage has seen a slight jump. It's nice to see at least 3-4k crits again... though I used to be able to do much higher with might stacks...

Uh no. Anyone has my respect until they demonstrate that they don't deserve it.

Your way implies that your respect has some value to me, thus I have to earn it.

#2026646 Build that makes PvE a joke

Posted Xpl0iter on 18 October 2012 - 02:52 AM

That build is far from fixing any ele issue. However, Since you have decided to stoop down to name calling... I will put it like this.
Any one claiming that ele is invincible has lost it. Your claim of "There, all PvE problems fixed, have fun." is retarded. I am done with wasting my time on you.

X.

#2033838 [Looking for Alucard-like armor] Help me find look alike armor for my human

Posted Pariah on 21 October 2012 - 11:53 PM

The best pistols for that look would imho be the Ruinmaker unique skin http://www.guildhead...r-of-accuracy#.

For the armor I'd say Noble coat (crafted set), Conquest shoulders (available through the personal story with another name), Rugged hat. Some simple gloves dyed white, and the leggings and boots can be pretty simple as well. http://img715.images...ithnamesfin.jpg

The best outfit match in my opinion, would be Heritage Armor... if you went as a Light armored profession... however, you don't get the hat. But you can get something similar to Sunglasses.
If you went Necromancer, well then you would have Alucard's crazy vampiric abilities available to you, but no gun usage.
Or if you went Mesmer, he would only be able to hold one gun, and that would be in the offhand, which isn't as fun.
Plus, you would've need to have played GW1 in order to get this outfit anyways.

Hmm... actually with the spikey hair, he kinda looks more similar to Father Anderson... just need white dye or something. It was made using Abyss and Black Cherry dye. I think I used Honey Dye for the goggles.

Now here are outfits I came up with if you went as a Medium armored. Unfortunately my only male humanoid Medium armored guy is a Norn, so ignore the abnormal body mass of this guy.

If you don't like the hats and just wanna try with the sunglasses, I guess you could roll Engineer and answer the right biography question. Thief and Engineer can dual wield pistols, but they don't exactly have access to Alucard's crazy vampiric stuff... well maybe a Thief could somewhat pull it off.

The gloves, pants and boots come from the beginner set, with the chest being Noble. Dyed Iron and Black Cherry. Two of the hats are from Karma vendors, and one is from WvW I believe.

Eh I hope this helps.

*Edit*
-Facepalms to self-
I just realized I could've stayed on my Human Necro and just used the PvP lockers to do the previews for the mediums... the body mass would've been more consistent.
