I have to ask why - the OP has not made the case for a dedicated PvE server.  I going to stay on my server with my guild mates.

Played nearly 3 hours last night with my brother, a serious rarity for me now that I have children, and we had a blast!

Bottom line is that we just did whatever we felt like, didn't sweat "progress" towards some ridiculous virtual goal, and mixed it up with different characters and events. In that 3 hours, we played four distinct game-modes, with 3 different characters each!

We started with an AC run, which was fun because we did a few things that we hadn't done before, rather than just speed-running it, and we had a few newer players to help along.

Then we went to EB to the jumping puzzle, which I'd never been to. It was a hoot. Didn't get far at all, but had some hilarious 3-way rivalries going with some FA & TC guys: yanking each other around and blasting each other off cliffs. Eventually, more TC showed up so we couldn't progress. Next time!

So the two of us ran around EB being obnoxious: taking camps, jacking yaks out from the middle of small zergs, stealing sentries, or drawing zergs to defend keeps from our two man "attacks". As a mark necro and focus mesmer, we eluded many zergs in some pretty epic chases. Didn't "accomplish" that much, but had some really fun cat and mouse going.

Finally, we dropped into tPvP, where we won our first tournament (we don't play much). We were mostly carried by a helluva thief player, but my brother and I had fun playing a psuedo-bunker-duo with strong team-fight builds. Our teammates were very nice people: didn't even complain when I bombed our first match (15 points maybe?)

So in 3 hours, we did a dungeon, ridiculous jumping puzzle + pvp, hit 'n' run WvW with some really fun chases (we had a group of 4 TC guys chasing us around for nearly 20 minutes), and a tPvP tournament. Never got boring, never felt grindy. We didn't really make much "progress", certainly not compared to focused grinding, but we had a lot of fun!

Much better than mindlessly trying to grind out some achievement, gear, or whatnot.

Is GW2 in trouble?  Hardly.

Could things be improved?  Sure.

Do we need more dramatised threads on the forum?  Not really.

Slightly offtopic from another thread, but I really wish they would make more official announcements on their web-site, or maybe even activate their forums?  Twitter and Facebook are fast means of communication, but not everyone uses them.  They should keep all of their players informed, whether they use Twitter or Facebook or not.  We aren't defined as GW2 players because we follow them on Twitter or like them on Facebook.  We need a more direct stream of information from AN's development team.

Nosey? Doesnt effect me? please.. farming currencies totally effects the economy and all MMOs have or should have a community that works together. That in my opinion means community policing. If you think cheating and exploiting are ok then go play a single player game. I stand by reporting things that are wrong.

Also, some (if not all) are botting because they were not only warned about being reported but they have been in the same spot spamming the same skills for 2 days now. I doubt anyone is actually at the computer doing that.

Sorry if you think I should let it be but its my game as much as its theirs and I am free to uphold the rules of the game.

And yes, they are exploiting, this is an exploit. This is the exact sort of argument you hear from MMORPG cheaters. Have you ever played a bot-infested game?

There is a group of "people" using an event in the Gendarran Fields to farm coin, exp and karma. These people are "botting" an event that spawns every 5 mins and insta-killing the mob that appears. Many people in my guild have been reporting them and watching to be sure they are in fact cheating.

I have taken screenshots and seen that people have been doing it non-stop since the headstart began. I hope to hell we see the ban hammer come out and kill this.

I hope people on other servers (we are on Northern Shiverpeaks) will do likewise. Report these individuals and stop the exploiters before they get out of hand.

Think yourselves lucky that you only got a 72 hour ban and the opportunity to change your name for trying to find a way around the published naming policy.

I would be happier if ANET renamed your character after the ban, and you had to buy a cash-sale name change if you didn't like the name they gave you:  Something like this would stop people trying to find loopholes in the naming system.

Since we are roughly 12 hours away from what could be the official begin of head start, I just wanted to take a moment to thank Arenanet for their hardwork, dedication, and responsiveness(with regard to our feedback).  You have developed a great MMO, and I hope launch goes smoothly, not only for us players but you as developers.

Well, I respect the fact that you can voice your opinion, but I flat out disagree. The gear looks so amazing it's making it hard to pick a main.
