How does anet test their updates?

It always feels like they never ever test their updates themselves. It's like they add random skills onto a mob and think about it theortically and go "yup, feels balanced, I think the new skill on grenth which teleports you up in the air and drops you into 1 hit KO AoEs sounds perfectly balanced on paper, lets do this!".

Seriously, they should really make a video of a bunch of anet staff completing whatever new patch they just included to show that they've tried it, they've done it and it's doable as a majority.

Mystic forge combining rares

Hi,

I've asked the question earlier and people have told me that there is a small chance if you combine 4 same items level and class you get a different item. Lately, the last 4 items i've mystic forged has brought me back a completely different item in exchange.

Did they make recent changes to the mystic forge where the class of item doesn't matter and any 4 rares of the same level will have a chance of bringing back a random rare or exotic?

What drops precursors

Hi, I just want to confirm what mobs drop precursors?

Is it just mobs from cursed shore, of does this include straits, orr etc or any mob in the world has a chance for it?

Mystic forge combining rares

Sorry if this has been asked before,

Today I combined 4 level 80 rare greatsword and got back a lvl 80 rare staff.

Is this normal? I thought 4 weaps of the same class brings back a same class item?
