In Topic: Don't ban us for farming....

I farmed the union daily for long periods of time, and didn't notice any bots. I farmed on multiple servers as well. Everyone was sociable and we had a good time. I actually made a few friends... I think people who were completing the event reported people for what "appeared" as botting but they really weren't.

I actually had people accusing me of botting which i find funny.

In Topic: Staff....

I'm partly confused because the greatsword has no condition damage and the staff does... Do you mean that the direct damage from greatsword is BETTER than staff condition dmg + Direct dmg? I would agree if that's what you are saying. The thing is the staff is not an offensive weapon while on the other hand, the greatsword is very offensive weapon. It's kind of hard to compare the two. Staff is great at keeping you alive.. the greatsword has a push back and that's about it.

Conclusion: They are used for different things/scenarios.

I thought it was funny yesterday a few people from BG exploited the wall bug (where you get stuck inside it after an enemy caps the place).  They placed a ram INSIDE the wall and started to hit the gate... doh

In Topic: Any Tip On How to Catch a Running-Away Thief?

20 March 2013 - 11:33 AM

Well most thieves use Shadow Refuge as a last resort and that's really the only stealth you have to worry about because it's duration is long. Sounds like people really like thieves based on their responses. Anyways, like others have said immbolize the thief if you can. If the the thief lays down shadow refuge (big area with house picture over it) immediately push/pull them out if you can. This will strip the stealth off of them and give them the revealed debuff. Don't know which profession you play and may not have access to a good control skill. I usually play mes or ele and both of good skills for knocking the thief out.
Mesmer -> Illusionary Wave (greatsword), Temporal curtain (focus)
Elementalist -> Updraft (Dagger Offhand)

If you knock him out you know the other player is probably furious and now has run away in the plain sight ;)
