#2204963 Guild Wars 2 - A Gemstore Survey

Posted Brunella on 22 May 2013 - 10:34 AM

I bought the collector edition, which was very expensive, thinking the game would be awesome, but sadly I was very wrong GW2 was and still is very disappointing to me.
I wont buy a thing with real money for GW2 I just do with what the game will offer me, after all I do not like it as I thought I would, plus I do not like lotteries or RNG, I do not find them fair and most of all I do not like games with them on ..... people get addicted which is not a good idea. I wonder why Anet has it on their game being Americans and not Koreans it's really wrong.

Interestingly enough, Faren and the skank beside him(What's her name again?)

I didn't get around to checking out all the NPC dialogue since I was on a mission to get my tentacle pr0n back piece and farm for boxes that never drop.  Maybe I should go chat up the NPCs!  This stuff sounds juicy.

Mark my words: precursors for everyone.

Ah /sigh...really don't know how long they expect to fill the gaps in the game with these rather meaningless monthly updates.

T6 Mat Farm Guide

(hopefully, this is in the right place!)

I keep seeing this thread linked to places like reddit. It's extremely outdated and I have updated it here. Thanks!

I have been trying to save for a precursor for a couple of months now. I laugh at the fact that the price of precursors is higher everyday than what I can make ingame. It is even more frustrating that in order to even think about getting a legendary I have to play the TP or use gems instead of actually playing the game.

#2113235 Good Axe+Torch Builds?

Posted Izardoz on 10 December 2012 - 12:14 AM

i have always used axe/torch..for me, it's the best combination
but, i agree, i don't see too many others using it
i also use the longbow as my other weapon set...just call me odd  :P

#2087190 Phase three of the Lost Shores is live!

Posted Coren on 19 November 2012 - 09:11 AM

Didn't participate, simply because I need to sleep then go to work. I don't mind at all because the only good thing was the fractals, which are super fun. The improved loot from dungeons are amazing, one CoF run and one AC run, and I bag in around 4 rares and 2 exotics worth 5-6 gold each.. Plus finished equipping my mesmer with exotics.

If ANet can cater to everyone's wishes, GW2 needs to be instanced. GW1 never had problems like this because you could do those events when ever you wanted.

#2085837 Lost Shores Event Fixes and Clarification

Missing The Boat

I just found out there was a quest chain that started by talking to Miyani, who then lets you talk to Zommoros, and that starts a sequence of events described here on Dulfy.net.

I talked to Miyani at length on Friday after the first event, thoroughly checked every conversation option because I had never used the Mystic forge before (and wanted to make sure I didn't blow it), and NEVER saw the option that started this quest chain.

Now it's no longer available. Ever again. Forever. Lucky me.

I am proud Drinker of the GW2 Kool-Aid and a True Believer in the MMO Manifesto. I want ArenaNet to make truckloads of money on this game, am happy to pitch in my share of the dough, have pitched in plenty already and want to play GW2 for at least the next ten years.

But this weekend exemplifies the continuous pattern of overreaching ambition followed by spectacular failure which is fast becoming a hallmark of ArenaNet's track record. That this was also a "free weekend", where potential players have had a chance to experience how confusing and bug-addled this new content is, only adds insult to injury.

Absent some sort of stunning turnaround in ArenaNet's abysmal quality assurance performance, they really, really need to reconsider the dubious strategy of placing new content under our noses, only to snatch it away before we can enjoy it, and never let us have a shot at it again.

It's outrageous and disappointing on a grand scale. I love the game, and love the people, but ArenaNet seriously needs to get their act together and put a stop to these embarrassing and highly visible epic failures.
