I am planning to make a Ranger and I was wondering if the class is actually fun to play or rather boring in comparison to your other classes. Or do you think the class IS fun to play BUT because it's that much worse than other classes you actually don't like to play it?(or isn't there any class imbalance at all?)

I'm mainly going to do normal PvE and Dungeons, not so much focusing on PvP yet.

I have been saving some money/tokens lately and as I already got lots of greatswords and the hammer/staff I need, I am going to buy some swords/shields and focus now.
I'm wondering what kind of stats I should get on these (Knight's, Valkyrie's?) as I do not have a particular Sword/shield/focus build in mind.
(atm I'm using the AH build w/hammer/staff but I'm open for any build)

So what kind of Sword/shields/focus do you recommend me getting? I think knight fits most occasions but got no idea really.

I'm thinking about buying T3 sylvari armor sooner of later but I'm wondering what stats I should put on it. At the moment I've got a knight's armor set with soldier runes and valkyrie jewelry so I'm pretty balanced.

So now I'm wondering if it actually matters what armour I should get next as it seems focusing on either DPS(berserker) or 'Tank/healer'(Cleric) isn't a good option, but getting another balanced set seems like a waste of time...

The only thing I could think of was having a more tanky set of armor(knights with a lot of toughness which I've got now) and a more DPS-oriented set with more precision, but I've got no idea what armor and combination of runes(lyssa?)/jewelry I should use for this kind of setup, anyone got any ideas?
