Brazil's DPS Necromancer Guide

24 February 2014 - 01:08 AM

Intro

Finally a Necromancer guide, designed to actually do damage instead of pretending to do damage. The build is not really my own creation, but the video just serves to demonstrate the build and provide some footage of what it can do.

Before we get started
Necromancer doesn't really provide any useful utility that isn't offered in a better form by another class, so they don't really fit into legitimate speedclear compositions. I do enjoy playing it, though, and I guess it is something to save for a rainy day or for "just for fun" runs. The damage output is not bad, it's close to pretty much every class aside from Thief of Elementalist, but Necromancer really doesn't offer anything special. I suppose this is just the state of things.

Weapons
  • Dagger - Mainhand weapon in pretty much every situation. There aren't really any situations that call for ranged damage, probably the only one at this point being Grawl Shaman, so you'll primarily just autoattack with Dagger. Ignore the second and third Dagger ability.
  • Warhorn - Try to avoid using this in trash runs and simply focus on using it for AoE damage in fights. You have a Daze with Warhorn 4.
  • Focus - Very good for stacking up a lot of Vulnerability in a short amount of time, removing boons, or giving something Chill.
  • Axe - ONLY IF YOU ARE USING THE DEATHSHROUD BUILD

Armor and Trinkets

The Perfect DPS Thief Build

29 July 2013 - 04:27 AM

Intro

Before we get started
Thief has been a very fun class for me to play so far, but getting used to playing a build like this will surely be hard for some people. You'll have to blind trash mobs, utilize stuns, and be great at staying behind bosses when they aggro to you while you do the most damage of anyone in the group. All of that being said, Hopefully you will all enjoy this guide and take something useful away from it.

Weapons
  • Dagger - Mainhand and Offhand weapons for boss fights or dealing with a single mob that you are confident you can handle. Absolutely supreme damage output, but be sure and stay behind the boss.
  • Sword - Primary mainhand weapon for trash mobs. The autoattack cleaves and is great for building Bloodlust stacks.
  • Pistol - Primary offhand for dealing with trash mobs and helps to Blind them
  • Shortbow - If you need to fall back on this for ranged, you've got it. Useful for being sneaky with Infiltrator's Arrow, useful for stacking loads of stealth and might with Cluserbomb. Just be careful with the autoattack.

Armor and Trinkets
  • Berserker's Trinkets
  • Berserker's Weapons
  • Berserker's Armor w/ Scholar Runes
  • A combination of Sigil of Force, Night, or dungeons specific for your Daggers. Just don't take 2 Night, 2 Force, etc.
  • Sigil of Force, Night, or Dungeons specific for your Sword and Pistol
  • Whatever Sigils you want for Short Bow, it doesn't matter. Energy would be good if you need it, though.

Traits
  • 6 Deadly Arts. VI, IX, XIII
  • 6 Critical Strikes. III, VI, XI.
  • 2 Trickery. IV

Skills to Have
  • Signet of Malice
  • Haste
  • Shadow Refuge
  • Signet of Agility
  • Assassin's Signet
  • Smoke Screen
  • Blinding Powder
  • Shadowstep
  • Roll for Initiative
  • Signet of Shadows
  • Scorpion Wire
  • Thieve's Guild
  • Basilisk Venom

Consumables
  • Curry Butternut Squash have.
  • Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup
  • Dungeon Potions
  • Seaweed Salad or Asparagus Sage Salad

The Perfect DPS Ranger Guide... For Real

13 July 2013 - 01:39 AM

Intro

All I'll say is that if you are skeptical, watch the video evidence.

Before we get started
A lot of people seem hate on Rangers, and this is most likely because of the average Longbow using Juvenile Brown Bear shitty pug that we all know and hate. When played correctly, Ranger is a ♥♥♥♥ing monster.

Weapons
  • Sword - Primary DPS weapon. Very strong DPS, but it comes with a catch. You'll really have to practice to get used to the autoattack and the timing that the evades require.
  • Warhorn - Used for the Blast finisher, Fury, and Swiftness.
  • Axe - Primary supplement to Sword. Path of Scars is incredible.
  • Dagger - Swap to this if you need the evade from Dagger 4. Dagger 5 can also be used to aggro mobs from a distance. Swapping will also cancel your Sword chain, so you will get an evade on command. If you have high latency, this may not work as smoothly though.
  • Longbow - Yes, really. Lead off with Barrage and then Rapid Shot before swapping to Sword. DO NOT USE BEARS
Armor and Trinkets
  • Berserker's Trinkets
  • Berserker's Weapons
  • Berserker's Armor with Ranger Runes
  • Sigil of Force on your Sword
  • 10% Sigil on your Axe
  • Sigil of Force and a 10% Sigil on your Longbow
Traits
  • 6 Marksmanship. I, VII, XI
  • 5 Skirmishing. I, V.
  • 3 Nature Magic. IV.
Skills to Have
  • Healing Spring
  • Troll Ungeunt
  • Quickening Zephyr
  • Signet of the Wild
  • Sic 'Em
  • Rampage as One
  • Frost Spirit (It's fixed now!)
Consumables
  • Curry Butternut Squash
  • Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup
  • Dungeon Potions - Duh.
  • Seaweed Salad or Asparagus and Sage Salad
