This is the profession Tyria deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

You are missing the Throw Batarang skill, Summon the Tumbler ability, and a utility belt.

Pot calling the kettle black.

Uuuuh so you show a picture of JQ probably defending Bay by trying to rally people so they can get a treb down (me guessing no idea what really is going on there) and show "15" of you.  But you're not accounting for the other "15" of you behind and up or around the keep (not spawn).

Yeah makes sense when the guy is talking about being spawn camped.

On the whole, I am having a blast in WvW right now, fighting as the underdog in WvW.

   I am not sad to see fair weather warriors disappear, either. I am OK with that.

  The only two issues I am having right now that pisses me off are;

1) JQ zergs break and run. This really irritates me. However, this is a natural side effect, I think, of JQ not having large guilds that form the core of our zergs. Guild zergs are better than PuG zergs. Thats just life, you have to accept it.

2) I am happy as long as we are ticking 120+. That means I have somewhere I can go, get into a fight, and have some friends and allies around me.
   Ticking 60 PPT and stuff like that just means everyone quit, and I am looking at facing 1 vs 40 every fight if I go to any map. This happens from time to time, and since I only play to WvW, it means that I just turn off the computer and go do something else.

   All I want is a good fight somewhere I can join in on.  Damn the score, and damn the quitters.

#2200595 Why hasn't Anet addressed the current zerker or gtfo pve endgame?

Posted FoxBat on 10 May 2013 - 11:59 AM

They made this pretty clear in the year-plan. Casual daily open world grind is their focus. Dungeons they can't even be bothered to "overhaul" like they suggested, if you can call fighting the howling king on the stairs an "overhaul." This is not Vanilla WoW where everything pointed towards raids. Dungeons are just a bone thrown at a specific kind of player, but with not nearly enough attention to make them a robust experience.

This attitude towards "hardcore" PvE content really shouldn't surprise anyone considering this is the company that gave us Shadow Form. Though I have to say I'd take the GW2 meta over actual optimal GW1 dungeon builds, at least you have to worry about responding to big boss attacks rather than holding down the "I win" button.

Btw if Anet actually cared about this, it would be hotfixed by now. They don't leave 'exploits' lingering for days(weeks?) just so they can ban half the player base.

He ran around killing solo players, taking camps, clicking his skills, got zerged a lot and seemed to enjoy pretending to enjoy it.    Just give us GvG so skilled players can thrive.

It's not so bad.
Anet appears to be throttling server volume. I firmly believe in the coming months servers the size of t1 will vanish. Even SoR will be shrunk. I can forsee a time with lots of map hopping and queues only once in a blue moon. I think the bl's themselves will be a thing of the past. I think the worst thing you could do right now is to.frustrate yourself to the point of quitting.
I also hear it's near summertime :)

Okay guys, before you all continue, please refrain from starting a flame war, we are not keyboard warriors.
What ? If you're not a keyboard warrior already, get with the current forum flame war meta! I mean could you imagine how inefficient it would be to run a forum flame war without the superior sustained KPS (keystrokes per second) keyboard warriors provide ?  Look, don't get me wrong, sure throw in a utility touchpad mesmer to assist with party inspiration and deflection to further improve KPS and those trackball guardians and joystick engineers can provide solid burns from time to time, but please, keyboard warriors are currently the core of any decent flame war group.

Aaaaaand back on topic.
@OP
It's about expectations. CoF p1 (which I'm assuming is what you were referring to) is the easiest and shortest dungeon path in the game. A lot of people have run it so many times that it's not remotely challenging or even fun anymore (unless you're one of the few trying to beat speedclear records).  Yet they still run it as it's as a means to an end for getting dungeon tokens / in-game gold.  Hence they just want to get through runs quickly and efficiently so they can go on to do other things in the game that are actually more challenging/enjoyable.  That objective in mind, coupled with the fact the dungeon encounters are pretty easy, don't require a lot of survivability/skill and reward groups with high damage, is the basis behind where the 'zerk' requests are from.  In this case, as other's have touched on, if that doesn't sound like you, then you want to seek out and join groups where people have similar expectations of the dungeon run to you.

I see Tempest Trolls are living up to their name. Given their performances over the past week though maybe Tender Wolves might be more appropriate.

#2196384 Cap the amount "Invulnerability Skills" work.

Hey all.

I'd like to see Invulnerability effects, such as Mist Form, Endure Pain, Signet of Stone, Elixier (whatever letter it was), be capped to 5 people in WvW.

I'll explain a little better what I mean. In a hypothetical instance, say an elementalist jumps down from a tower he's defending, pops some AoE which he can't use from within the tower, then mist forms due to traiting, followed by the skill itself. This gets him back inside the tower.

Now with lets say 15+ people outside the tower, manning rams, scouting and facerubbing or whatever, it seems off to me that some classes can jump down, unload some damage, then get back inside without so much as a scratch. Especially when they are vastly outnumbered by the attackers.

This is just an example, but it works when you're not defending or attacking too.

My idea is to cap the amount of people who you are invulnerable to. 5 seems to be the magic number for capping things, and 5 is also the party size, so it seems reasonable to me. The first 5 people to hit the player do no damage as usual, but the 6th and any subsequent do normal damage.

Thoughts?
Endure Pain does not belong on that list, it does not make you invulnerable. It doesn't block conditions or any CC like most of the other abilities you listed do.
