#2203176 Consortium is Nexon/NCSoft?

Posted borovnica on 17 May 2013 - 09:20 PM

Please gor play Lineage, Everquest and other older mmo's to understand what is the definition of the term "grind". Also ascended gear is unneeded for 95% content of the game, only 10+ fractal levels require that gear, and it's quite easily obtained. Also GW was all about playing for a long time to get cool stuff. Obsidian armor in GW1 anyone?

Red vs Blue PVP wallpapers for each race, done while waiting for the Scan Invitational stream to go live.

All of them in 1920 x 1080.
Awesome!

...

Out of curiosity, for the charr one, why do the charr both have mini charr coming out of their butts?

1. Men like boobs.
2. The set is expensive, so it gives the players something to work for. I mean, black assassin/warrior/... FoW (with chaos gloves) certainly wasn't the best looking set in GW1, but it took some dedication to get so folks chased after it.

Thanks for the quick answer. Yeah, sure we like boobs... it's just that I would like to see some variety for a change. Defora's armor sets are a perfect example of amazing combinations without having to resort to the easy eye-catching human T3.

It just gives me the impression that all the women in Tyria (even if there are men behind) prefer to show bosom xD

Does anyone else think it is kind of funny, that they want to increase Thief's mobility?

As long as that means they'll keep nerfing stealth, I am all for it.

My thief, finally I have look I can run with. I really do not fancy running with underboob or duelist.

With hood (hood colors are not done yet, I don't have matching dyes yet)

Edit, changed the colors a bit after posting this. New colors look like this. Which one is better, this or original?

There are 26 zones. 25 without southsun. 2 hours a zone should be easy. Add an hour for 8 crafting professions for 1-80. And 1-2 hours for wvw completion (assuming you wait for your server to have full control). So estimate at 60 hours. I'm sure you could get it down to ~1 hour a zone if you hustled and had a partner. Hearts are the limiting factor really.

You could probably hardcore marathon it in a single weekend.

I decided to ditch the Human T3 as my inner hipster was dying a little every day.  So then I chose to go with something more casual and understated for Zhenji and I'm liking it for the moment:

#2181839 Koroshi's d/d immortal thief build 3.0

Posted koroshi on 21 March 2013 - 12:57 AM

I will still use the same build, it is a very strong build. I did run tests this week without the constant restealth and honestly all I have to do is focus more on my sword part of my build.  So main weapon now sword/dagger which allows me to stay safe with the shadow steps when necessary.

I did change my bottom trait line towards acrobatics for the 50% movement speed in stealth, so i can position myself faster or escape when needed. I still can fight 1 vs 5, can't say much about zergs yet waiting for the culling fix before I try that. All we can do at this moment is wait for the patch.

Hey Koroshi, I put this together in one of the better Calcs...I left out the Upgrades on the Ascended Gear, thought you might want to add them in, if you're using them.

http://gw2buildcraft...7.5b.5a.5c.5v|e

I did the S/D - D/D. I would be interested to see what adjustments to Traits or Utility Skills, if any, you would recommend for a S/D - SB build. I usually run w/my Guild, and they do use the Combo Finishers fairly effectively. (We're just getting into W v W, so we're still learning.)

Thanks for the thread, I like the build and think it will work well with my guild and how our playstyles mesh.

Nice find on that site I will play around with it later. Was looking for something like this so I could customize my builds better, however I don't understand how the build has 55% crit chance on the stats.

The trait that i changed was the bottom line to  acrobatics for the 50% movement speed to make up for the loss of perma stealth. That alone was enough to improve the build and give me more possibilities.  I am not informed in the way of the bow so i can not really help you on that part, I don't want to give you bad advice, I suggest looking for a shortbow build on the forum. Our organized group uses thieves only as support, so blastfinishers/disables/smoke/haste for revives that kind of stuff.

The Whisper coat looks really nice on female characters. I would suggest going with three simply because of the slim and sexy cut.

What nerf are you talking about? The culling fix?

ANET plans to change stealth so that it applies the revealed buff, regardless if you hit something or not.

I probably will have to go for a hybrid build based on evasion and stealth. Very sad they did not go after mug... but gave into the whine of players that did not read up on thieves. I have had no problem beating thieves as other classes, it is  a l2p issue.

#2177045 Ranger or Thief - For a Critical Focused Style of Play

Posted Ojikes on 09 March 2013 - 06:48 PM

Rangers has 25% Speed buff to just as thief does. You can get away easier with thief, thanks to stealth but ranger is mobile to.

Caltrops is good, but mostly for bleed builds. And cluster bomb is really nice, but slow moving projectile/s.

Thief SB #1 isnt as good as Rangers imo.. Ranger does more damage, shoots faster and has longer range. Thief #1 has bounce to between targets.

If you really want to be ranged, go with ranger imo. :)

If you rather want mobility and can go cond you can go with thief. P/D is really nice.
