#2151422 Disappointed with same skin for Corrupted Long and Short Bows

I don't really understand why you would spend all that time and resources for such an expensive skin without even checking what it looks like first...

#2144836 Who misses Nicholas the Traveler?

Posted Nerel on 17 January 2013 - 08:24 PM

Nope, not at all... grindy farming for some free rng loot isn't really something to be missed, nor is the burden on storing all your crap 'trophy' drops 'just in case'.

If Anet's 'precursor' scavenger hunt turns out to be anything remotely like Nicholas the Traveler and his incessant demands for quantities of obscure crap... I'll punch a dolyak in the face.

#2125867 Fractal Improvements

Let's be honest.

These changes should have been implemented by now (Especially the disconnect issue).
Anet is gonna come through and look like the good guys, when they've had a month since fractal release to get this working (2 months by the patch).

Not saying I don't approve, just saying that Anet shouldn't be praised for this fix, it should have happened sooner (or actually not been required at all).

#2119841 Do you care about town clothing?

That's why there are NPCs that give speed boosts. Anet wanted people to stay in town clothes in towns and use the speed boosts.

Trouble is no-one wants the inconvenience of running to them in the first place.

Cash shop model is supposed to be about selling people convenience, not inconvenience.

When I have no MF I pretty much always get greens
When I do have MF i always get at least one rare.
Your move.

There are a lot of things that irritate the shit out of me in the world.
People who abuse animals, people who tell me I can't eat meat, people who tell me I am a contradiction and refuse to listen before I even have time to explain my complex(yet entirely logical) opinions.
But another thing that irritates the shit out of me is when people fail to understand how probability works, and how their anecdotal evidence IS F'ing WORTHLES if they do not bother to test on a scale of hundreds or even thousands of attempts and keep proper records of those attempts.
And this failure to understand how probability works is like the people who think they are more likely to win the lottery now because they've been playing for awhile, or because their numbers were close last time, or whatever other hocus-pocus the mathematically-inept can come up with.

Bloodtau(and anyone else for that matter), to put it simply, what you're saying is completely worthless if you don't provide evidence. How's that for a "move"?
Not good enough? Here's my anecdotal evidence: I get worse drops when I have MF on, thus, MF actually produces worse drops.

Now, onto the topic at hand:
I'm wearing 5 pirate and 1 noble rune on my nec atm, mostly for the reason that I just didn't really know which runes to put on at the time, and so I went with something generic. I have +60% magic find, and despite my investment into it, I would like permanent sources of magic find(Any magic find on equipment) removed from the game.
Why? Because as it was put quite brilliantly before in another thread: it gives increased rewards for less contribution.
Yes, skill is the dealbreaker when there's a large skill gap, but when there isn't it comes down to people with magic find are contributing less and gaining more, and while it's not a terribly huge difference, it's the principle of this that is awful.
GW2's loot system is designed to make sure that you get credit if you contribute, and you only get credit if you contribute significantly. Everyone gets approximately the same drops, everyone who contributes gets a reward scaling to how much they contributed, and magic find slaps all of that in the face.
It's the same reason we don't have magic find trait lines, or traits related to drops.

You guys are forgetting the people that like to farm Events in groups or Regular Gameplay. It helps me for example to get $$$$$ to buy gear and other things.
I can understand that people that do Dungeons and have MF gear on are bad for the team,
which is why I have a fully runed over 100% MF Set with MF focus accessories etc.
BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT I also keep regular damage gear for Dungeons.

Frankly, I think OP is just butthurt :P and wants everything his way.
If you guys want to do Dungeons then ask guildies and friends to do it with you. That way you know that they are not being MF Noobs.

If you don't have friends then that's just sad and you should probably make some.
I can be your friend =D  , k.
You're being incredibly dense by thinking about it the way you are.

If they removed Magic Find from equipment and kept it only for Food and Banners, they could adjust drop rates to make it the same as if you had the magic find on your gear.

Magic Find being an equipment-stat is more damaging to the game than it is beneficial - but it supports the push ANet is doing to make players spend $ on the Gem Store to get gold to get the "prestige" gear; so the shitty design is -by- design.
Very unfortunate, really.

I understand that critical thinking skills aren't common, but come on.
