It's normal since traps aren't optimal in PvE, if you use them it's because you're playing around or trying something different, to amuse you, but they are never really required anywhere.
I've used the ambush trap before a couple times in those "defend the npc/zone" type of quests, could've done without them though

As someone who has been using D/D since Lv20 I keep wondering how the classes play with other melee weapons when exploring the world, do you switch to SB most of the time since most mobs in PvE are well, not coming in singles. I guess I am too reliant on the massive AoE cond damage death blossom offers.

My bad, I haven't touched PvP so I didn't knew. What's up with that though, that's a huge inconsistency on Anet's part. Why not make the same armor look the same in both PvP and PvE?

I have a question guys, sorry if unrelated, so each named set has an unique set of stats as presented here:

They also seem to have an existing rune, can you overwrite this rune? For example, I'd like a named chest piece for my Condition Thief, but none of the runes the named armor sets inherently have seem to synergize with it (like the runes of the afflicted, adventurer, etc would). Can you overwrite the runes of the named armor?
