Gear: Full Berserker.  Self-explanatory.  Put Strength sigils on everything, Accuracy if offhand.
Runes: 2x Superior Monk, 2x Superior Water, 2x Major Sanctuary.  This gives you +40% boon duration, probably the best buff you will get from any rune combination in general.

First of all thanks--been looking to dust my Guardian off but...
What are these runes you speak of? Monk? Sanctuary is a sigil and goes not on armor but weapons no?
Everything else seems straight-forward

cheers

I got bored and fed up with the broken-ness of GW1 prophecies when it was released, took 8 months off and played BF2. Came back during the Factions preview event, noticed the changes and stuck around. Though I didn't bother getting the new campaigns until almost a year after they were released...each. I got EOTN on release, however. And now I'm sitting on a GWAMM account that I can't access. :P

Things will change. Both for the better and for worse. It's up to you to decide if the changes are worth coming back for. Good thing there's no subs.

Pretty fair statement.
I've been Debbie Downer here but today an event happened that kinda brought me back to earth Tyria. I fell from a great height in Deirdra's Grove (?) a couple of days back whilst solo'ing. In fact, fell to my death. Logged in today and before I was half-way finished with my vodka tonic staring at a panning environment, an under-leveled Norn came to my rescue and revived me. We go on to finish the jumping puzzles--he actually didn't know he was in one and was unaware of certain items needed for some goodies. So I show him around a bit. He gets one-shot once or twice and I fall to my death in kind elsewhere. It was probably the most fun I've had in weeks. Joking, no stress, no concerns about loot, no rich orichalcum node shenanigans--just *ing around.
That can't be crafted nor can it be added to the gem store. It doesn't drop from a beast or plied from a chest. That's human RNG and...pretty awesome.

I as well had thought the game would have a legendary quest(s) in order to acquire a rare and magnificent weapon. Thoroughly disappointed that there was no thought put into them other than a checklist node and TP grind. I had imagined prior to the beta weekends that acquiring a legendary would be seeking, or even coming across, clues in the open world. Even somewhere in the personal story hints about ancient weapons would emerge...or at least something that would tie the weapon to the land, or gods wtv. I envisioned going into an instance and fighting of other-worldly beasts, jumping through a tough puzzle to gather a component or solving a riddle.
Almost every aspect of a legendary (and most of the game in general) eschews my willing suspension of disbeleif only to remind me this is a compartmentalized world deliberately designed to funnel me into the gem store.

Yeah, i log on to do daily jug of karma for wtv reason. I was so excited for this game but crap drops, silly RNG...you know I think the gem shop sucked the soul out of the GW world. Dont get me wrong I bought into it when gem:gold ratio spiked in halloween and wintersday. But this past event and the lack of any real progress, measly loot is insulting. Im done trying and feel bad for the wonderful talent at ANet.
Built a beautiful game but beneath the veil was grind and envy, little skill and mostly luck.
