As far as I'm concerned, if you can contribute to a group, and aren't an idiot, I don't care what profession you are playing.
Just for example, I was recently a group that consisted of 2 elementalists, 1 necromancer, 1 mesmer, and 1 thief. A couple in the group barely met the minimum level for the dungeon.
Hardly an idea group, right? And yet we kicked that dungeon's ass!

Legendary weapons lost their worth to me the day I saw one listed on the Trading Post.

Am I the only one getting fed up with this "omg stop killing my mobs" crap? I have seen so many people verbally abusing others in chat because they wandered through an area and thought they were helping. Evade stealing... my freaking face...

I would also point toward elementalist being more interesting and challenging when you consider the many different skills to unlock in the four attunements for each weapon set. Plus the low health and armor really force you to be on your toes while leveling.
But really what I find most interesting is forcing yourself to use other sets on any class. Don't get stuck in one cycle set of skills. Change it up and learn the different tactics required for each play style of the class.

They should do it in tiers: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc. Painfully obvious to everyone except Anet apparently.

Arenanet doesn't want underwater combat to become a hassle. Needing to resurface or find pockets of air mid fight can be a pain in the ass and so they're avoiding it. Currently the Aquatic Mask is just another group of stats... and an annoyance which hides my rad helmet.

Because it serves no use, and is mainly used by players to bragg they are leet. I don't want to see dueling implemented, there's bigger things to worry about.

I would be surprised if the gem cost, even for a Very High server, exceeded $10-$15 gem equivalent max. Doubtless ANet understands the need to keep it high enough to prove an impediment, but they also understand that transfers could prove to be a revenue source for those determined enough to move. 2000-3000 gems would be a ludicrous amount, since it's somewhere between $30 and $40 (I know you can buy it with gold, but using money for sake of argument). I say this even knowing the ridiculous amounts that WoW charges to transfer a mere character.
If a guild is so determined to transfer that they're willing to distribute gems to all of their members, then that's a guild you want to retain as customers. If you don't make it feasible for such a guild to move, it will likely just find a new game to play. ANet already screwed the pooch on WvW balance, and the February patch is a bit late to fix that, as is this. But we'll see what happens.
