Thief can be really lazy to play in PvE. Often i see people spamming everything they got all over the place when it really isn't necessary - it will probably also get you hit more.

Like others said, Warrior or Guardian.

Warrior - healing Signet is almost OP at those levels + nearly 100% crit chance via the I Trait in the Arms tree coupled with a few signets. The faster stuff dies the less damage you take.

Guardian - later on this technique doesn't really matter much because you got all your traits etc., but at low levels you can be really cheesy on tough individual mobs (vets, champions) with Scepter + Focus which grant you a blind, an immobilize and a block or three along with your other skills like Aegis. Basically you can kite forever until the mob dies if its melee only.

I got both and i find the Guardians versatility more fun than a Warriors..bluntness for the lack of a better word.

Guardian feels more like a Spellsword type (term used in the Elder Scrolls series to describe a warrior-mage) due to the animations, buffs and other utilities (like conjured weapons etc.). Even though Warrior is the "weapon master" i keep more weapons and armor on my Guardian than i ever did on Warrior (basically im using every single weapon available bar the Torch) along with 3 sets of armor for different situations.

Necromancer.

The only class thatcan move every single type debuff in the game to 5 mobs in a 600 radius on a 15 sec cooldown (which often means along with 10-15 stacks of bleed) + Staff with an AoE fear (interrupt), instant removal of all conditons, aoe freeze and a heal. Then you have wells etc. The tradeoff is lack of burst, so no 10k numbers on your screen like with some other classes.

Atm in playing a condition necro with S/D + Staff and its simply insane. You won't kill as fast as some other classes, but you can basically grab any amount of mobs and kill them without going down.

In the Charr area there's some group event that includes a champion + 25 mobs following him. You can solo that shit on a necro. I did it at around level 50 so i wasnt even outgearing the content by much.

Any class can solo champions or vets with mobs, but Necro can take the most and is safest - especially since more conditions on you basically mean a bigger heal + like 3 ways to instantly remove conditions which is invaluable when taking several mobs together in Orr. Couple this with Death Shroud and an on-demand AoE Fear and you only go down when you screw up.

The second clas that comes close is a D/D Ele with a defensive build, Guardian third.

People keep saying Warrior - only if you're not going to kill 3-4 mobs at most and it better not be condition spamming ones. Also, i solo'ed at least 3-4 champions on D/D Ele i couldnt even touch on Warrior.

Classes i have so far - 80 Warrior, 80 Guardian, 80 Elementalist, 80 Necromancer, 80 Thief, 80 Engineer, lvl 3 Mesmer >.>.
