I want minipet battles, personally. I dont mean a Pokemon clone like WoW did, I mean full out 16v16 PvP battles as minipets in an open world location(hello LA) where people can just watch.

Huh well isnt the "Districts" tech already sort of in place in the form of overflows? I mean all they need to do is add a number "Overflow #1" and youre good to go. And get Guesting ironed out and seamless.

They also need to increase incentive for actually grouping while doing DEs and "Hearts" IMO, moreso than there already is. As it stands even if youre playing a supportive character you never have any reason to talk to or even look at another players name during events, which hinders the whole "making friends" thing. Maybe a scaling Magic Find buff depending on how many players youre grouped with? I know that would essentially be the same as having more loot drop like there is(I think), but if its more visual its more encouraging.

All of which will be changed in the future. Arenanet are working on the grind. I feel like I keep repeating the same message over and over again and people still aren't reading everything in context.

What worries me is that they thought it was a good idea in the first place.

Dude, I am in the same situation as you.  I highly suspect that ArenaNet's business model includes buying in-game gold through gems for guys like you, who don't have much time to grind in the game.

Like I have said many times before in this forum, more gold sinks, leads to a greater need for gold, leads to a  greater need to buy gems if you don't like to farm for hours each day.  *Ka-Ching!*  Profit for ArenaNet!

I don't like it too but that is the reality of GW2.

What would you be saying if there was no cash shop, and there were still gold sinks? Edit: Exactly the same as it is now, just without being able to buy gold.

I think he was a little too optimistic about the Lost Shores feedback. I understand that from a PR perspective, you have to make it look like a success, but 90% of the players who were giving feedback on the forums, in-game, through videos, etc. were giving mostly negative feedback. The one time events were handled poorly, the map was boring, the event story was a mess, and not many people want the new gear treadmill. A simple acknowledgement of these issues would have been nice, what he says is really vague:"We’ve seen people saying that they really liked the principle of using events to unveil new content, but we need to tighten up the methods by which they are deployed"

Well, 90% is quite the stretch. Even if you only consider that the people happy with the last update wouldnt have as much of a reason to be vocal about it. Aside from the technical issues, the only problem with the event itself was the lack of direction. As for Ascended gear and tiers, Im still waiting to see what the impact is once theyre finished implementing it.

Heres something else btw:

Hi All,
Thanks for your feedback we really appreciate it. I would like to take the opportunity to answer your questions in an AMA on Reddit on Monday 26th (12pm PST- More details to follow) to talk about recent updates to the game and our philosophy for Guild Wars 2 moving forward.
Please keep in mind that there we are about to begin the Thanksgiving holiday in the US and are out of the office (and likely in game) until Monday. Happy Holidays everyone!
