Posts I've Made

In Topic: I have been trying for at least a hour and haven't completed puzzle...

The clocktower took me like 3 hours, this one around 15 minutes. Maybe they should create increasingly difficult paths for these puzzles, so that everyone can find their own difficulty and be ok with it.

Still, great idea with the snowballs in the waiting room, I had a stupid grin on my face for the whole time :)

I'm glad you appreciate the subtelties of the language. I'm all for discussing grammar, but I'd rather not derail the op.

I was thinking along the lines of the Sorrow's Furnace update for GW1, where they introduced a whole new dungeon and even a new type of loot (greens were introduced there), but that was not hyped 3 months in advance, and green loot only had aesthetic and convenience advantages, rather than being 3% more powerful than anything else before. I was really impressed by that addition, and I (naively) thought that this would be their way of expanding GW2 as well. They could just add more storylines, more events, and shinier loot at the end, and you could go play there or go play somewhere else instead and not be at a disadvantage. Where you play for fun and not for a bigger carrot.

I was just commenting on this technique of announcing something as vage as an 'even bigger' update for february, the 3rd of December. A good game is one that can stand by itself, not one that needs a constant stream of additions each month, because then the month they stop adding them the game is dead. And we all know they won't be able to keep that speed up for very long, at least not for free.

I'm all for free added content don't get me wrong (well, if it does not include a gear threadmill), but I'd rather have them just naturally introducing it instead of start hyping it up 3 months upfront.

For me it's a 8. It's a great game, but not the end-of-all-games (like GW1 was for me). I think it still has a lot of potential and can become truly great if the devs put some more thoughtful work on it. I could go on rambling what I think should and shouldn't be done, but that would be outside the scope of the thread.
