Disney gives EA exclusive rights to Star Wars

The much maligned EA has just been given exclusive rights to make all Star Wars games in the foreseeable future. BioWare being responsible for KOTOR did lift my spirits a bit at this news, but then I remembered TOR and SimShitty.

What are your thoughts on this?

Project: Gorgon - Indie MMO in the making

So I've been following a little indie project for quite a while now and since they posted a Kickstarter with some proper info on the game, I decided to share it with all of you. The name of the game is called Project: Gorgon.

So Gorgon is basically a generic fantasy MMO very heavily dependent on emergent gameplay. It's not your standard MMO fare and it's definitely not going to be for everyone since it's designed to be a very quirky game. You get rewarded for doing a lot of things including dying (the more unique your death, the more Death XP you get). It's supposed to be 'classless' but there are certain ways to obtain a 'class'.

It's definitely not the prettiest thing on the market right now, but its's definitely got some fun stuff going on for it. Just putting it out here to spread the word to anyone who finds doing random things just to see what happens, fun.

Speculative Release Date: Part Eight

Well March is over and with it Q1 2012 has come and passed. With that, the poll options in the old release date speculation thread is now out of date.

Our latest information:
Beta testing is fully underway as of the end of December 2011.
We've gotten comprehensive looks at the first 30 levels of human, norn and charr characters.
Pre-purchase opens April 10 2012
Next Beta Weekend (BWE) anticipated to be April 20 2012
We have one BWE per month until release

Now with these things in mind, let's get the new speculation started. Enjoy.
