#2199343 New Gem Store Items

Posted madmaxII on 07 May 2013 - 03:25 PM

YES! Finally new gem store stuff! Even better, a new limited mini pet! And wow, new town clothing. That's by far the most important aspect of the game. I am so glad that Anet knows how they have to use their resources to keep players interested.

#2142691 Necromancer Screenshots

Posted Evans on 15 January 2013 - 08:23 AM

Inspired by a topic on Canthans in the Durmand Priory forum segment, I decided to delete my previous necro and make a new one. A Krytan Luxon.

This is Melaina of the Crab, proud descendant of the Crab clan. She's a streetrat, born in Lions Arch but due to tradition her family are nomads and traveled around. Her parents were killed in the great collapse of the art district, bless their souls. Now, many years later, she is of age to be chosen as elder of her clan. However, in order to gain influence she is going to travel the world and broaden her horizons first.

With some research I learned that Luxons are named in Ancient Greek generally. Melaina means 'dark' so that's appropriate. Then it was just a matter of finding a Luxon'ish outfit. I settled with this:
(mind this is a preview from the pvp locker, she's only lv.6 so far. I couldn't help the horrible colours so I'll have to repost a picture when she actually has the outfit)

I actually think it comes pretty close :) I blame the difference on Krytan influence.

#1835659 Karma vendor list (work in progress)

Posted dulfy on 28 August 2012 - 04:58 PM

Hey everyone, I compiled a list of karma vendors in every zone I leveled in with screenshots of the gear they are selling. I thought this might help some people who are being a bit careful with their karma spending as karma sometimes can be a pain to farm if the zone doesn't have alot of events up. You can get a rough idea of when you can upgrade this slot and how much karma you need etc.

GW2 has alot of leveling zone options and I am not going to be able to get them all in the first pass. However, once I reached 80 with my first character so I will go back and do the ones I missed along the way. So this list should be semi complete within the week or two. Also planning on converting the screenshots with item links to database sites like guildhead sometime in the future so you can view their stats.
This is a work in progress but I thought I might post what I have right now, enjoy!

#1904136 Did they fire the Voice Acting Director and get a new one for the Sylvari Zones?

Funny, Sylvari voice acting bothers me the most. The fake british-esque accent the actors put on makes my toes curl.

It does my head in as well.

#1618321 Am I the only one irked by some of the town clothes?

Posted ogrejd on 21 July 2012 - 10:34 AM

I am irked by ALL Town Clothes due to clothes being single unlocks rather than unlocking to the account and being infinitely reproducable, as well as the inability to wear them at any time outside of PvP, and also extremely irked by costumes costing more than in GW1 for this lesser functionality.

#1577185 Starting Day - the OCD Plan

Posted Oddbat on 06 July 2012 - 01:24 PM

This isn't OCD. This is OCPD. My wife has OCD, and no, it does not do wonders for your real life career. It's in fact quite debilitating. Being obsessed with the world ending, worrying that shouting at the dogs will make their heads fall off, worrying that coworkers are trying to poison you, that sort of thing. It's essentially like having thought patterns similar to psychosis, understanding how irrational they are, but not being able to get rid of them. OCPD is your standard inflexibility, ritualistic organization, need for control, etc. Yours may not even qualify as this. However, personality disorders and anxiety disorders are profoundly different.
