Ya. The devs even said it, duh.

Or maybe read the thread.

Care to provide a quote or link? Last I recall was Colin mentioning in December or January that concurrency had dropped a month or so after launch which was expected and that they had consecutive weekly increases for several weeks before that interview. Haven't seen anywhere that someone from ArenaNet said that "majority of people don't play it anymore". Haven't seen any sales figures since the 3 million announcement either. Would be nice getting an update on the numbers.

Edit: found the article. It was a bit later than I thought, from 1 Feb 2013. http://www.pcgamesn....-living-stories

Surely we can't seriously be expecting players to still be killing zhaitan in 2015...

And why not? Dungeon Divers and Raiders have been killing boss X hourly/daily/weekly for years in every other MMORPG. Not to mention that the whole "point" of GW2 is to fight the elder dragons. As much as ArenaNet wants to use the Living Story to make permanent impacts to the persistant world, I'm sure that fighting the EDs will remain a constant in the game.

In Topic: Is the April 30th Update "make or break"?

Make or break? No way, at least not for me. Been playing since the first BWE and participated in all BWEs, stress tests and head start which automatically makes me a fanboy in the eyes of some. I don't think any update has been bad, at least not as bad as some make them out to be. Some I liked, some I didn't like. What I didn't like, I could ignore as none of it held me back from playing the rest of the game.

The only drawback is the soulbinding @ a $10 (800 gem) price point. A 800 gem item should be account bound, and a soulbound version should be around 400 gems. Either way I think this is a worthwhile item to have if you intend to play the game for years to come as eventually (and I do mean extremely eventually) it will pay for itself. Besides the particle effects animation are stupid cool. Now if only they'd stop forcing RNG on the stuff I want to buy from the cash shop (fused weapon skins for example) and continue to put out these types of exclusive items as direct purchases I'd probably throw much more money at the cash shop than I do.

I've been thinking fairly long and hard about this one and came to the same conclusion so as cool and convenient as the pick is, I'll pass. With 9 characters, I'm not about to spend $10 on each character that I want to use such a pick on, probably the 5 or 6 that I do most of my crafting on.
