Posts I've Made

Here I've always had to go over the top to get a moderator on my case.  I got an infraction on the official forums for complimenting another server (no snark, straight compliments).

Step 1: discard self-worth.

I think JQ and SoR definitely got the worst of things.  A lot of people left those servers for other points and many others are weighing their options.

I think the servers that didn't expect to do great came out a lot better than those with higher expectations.  YB, SoS, Mag, NS; all came out of this with heads held high.
Bandwagons faired the worst a long with servers that thought their chances were a lot better than they turned out to be.

it doesn't work that way though.  Few guilds (AGG, FoE) have tried moving to different tiers, but most T1 guilds suffer under the illusion that they won't get quality WvW in lower tiered servers.  That is probably true for EU guilds and the larger guilds (if you run with 40-50+ on an average night, you probably should be in one of the top 5).

However a lot of guilds have gone to T1 and just dissolved as they just blend in with the zerg (you go in with ~10 people and an organized WvW guild of +40 goes by, you will probably follow them for easy bags).

It all depends on what kind of challenge you are looking for.  I know T3 is very competitive and isn't lacking for good fights (though we haven't had a T3 exclusive fight in ages now)

You all still play this game? I logged on the other night for an hour or 2 to burn up some golems I had left.... Game just still hasn't lost its staleness.
Should have stayed with us, WvW is more about tactics than ever where we are at now.  I hope you aren't too burned out.

In Topic: How does you handle repair costs?

Find a guild that does WvW, roll with them.  You capture one camp and kill 1 dolyak, you have the cost of 1 repair bill (single piece damaged).

Avg blue item dropped goes for about 90 copper, and average green goes for 1.8 silver (or your repair cost at level 80).

It's very hard to lose money at WvW if you are with a group.
