Pre-end game economy? Really? Is the author an IDIOT or simply someone who DOESN'T PLAY GW2 (or GW1 for that matter)... What is the point in having an economy for those few hours (or at worst, days) that it takes to hit level 80?
Guild Wars isn't about grinding for months on end just to reach 'max' level, it is something that is relatively quick and easy to obtain... the entire game isn't about getting to max level, it's about everything that happens after you max out your level.
Pre-end game economy... lols.

Ah typical Anet making changes to the game with little forethought of the impact it would have or how the player base will utilize the change... followed by a "we done gone and *ed up" announcement and a nerf. *golf clap*
Still, I like the proposed one 'bonus' rare per world boss event, per day per ACCOUNT... this is how it should have been from the start. Won't stop the grinders from grinding, will provide less incentive for the casuals from doing each boss event more than once per day, whiners will keep whining... all in all, business as usual.
Precursor scavenger hunt is where?

Nope, not at all... grindy farming for some free rng loot isn't really something to be missed, nor is the burden on storing all your crap 'trophy' drops 'just in case'.
If Anet's 'precursor' scavenger hunt turns out to be anything remotely like Nicholas the Traveler and his incessant demands for quantities of obscure crap... I'll punch a dolyak in the face.

I would say that is bullshit.
The vast majority of players would most likely rather have a bot-free game than having stupidly cheap items on the TP.

I hate to say this, but I agree with you entirely (the first and possibly last time I'll ever say that to one of your posts).
Bots don't just make things cheaper to buy on the TP, they make all the loot or crafting materials we farm worth LESS too... so everything is cheaper to buy, but we're making far less money at the same time. I for one don't want to be competing with bots that can run 24/7.
