Are you kidding me?! Only a quarter?!"

If I play human, it'll be sewer rat.
I was born poor in real life, I'll die poor regardless of what I do, might as well revel in it.

What would be wrong with you moving over the loot and it collecting for you in this manner.
I wouldn't mind an AOE loot, but I can live with what is here, as well. I mentioned earlier that I thought the interactive loot was a gold sink, of sorts. My concern would be trading AOE looting for another, more obvious gold sink. Money that I didn't know was mine (missed sparklies) is more palatable, to me, than money I know I have to spend (armor repairs).
My kids play the LEGO games as well. The LEGO games include this gold sink as a timer. If you do not pick up the loot within so many seconds, you lose your chance. If the interactive looting is in game as a sink (just my guess), I would rather click/F and have the bodies stick around longer, than the LEGO style AOE looting with a short timer.

This thread was to get peoples opinions and everyone seems to enjoy bashing others instead of sharing your own...
I understand the loot system is a little bit of work but that really isn't that big of a deal....
and to the other point people may be a little extreme making it seem like people will ask the mobs to kill themselves, but at the same time they are right as well... This is a minor annoyance, but where would the suggestions to fix minor things stop? It seems like everyone wants to make a thousand tiny changes to a game that isn't even out, The game doesn't need these changes to be amazing because it already is...

I just don't agree with this type of thinking at all. There is always room for improvement. And if you see a system that works very well and that people like a lot (like aoe loot in Rift), it makes sense to implement it. The game isn't out...so that means we should not give them suggestions? That makes no sense. If anything you want to bring these issues up before release. Now is this loot thing game breaking. Of course not. But there is nothing wrong with making some suggestions for making a good game even better.

Not at all. I'm claiming that games are easy enough as they are without having complete auto-loot making it even easier ^^
Let's see...
Difficulty in a game
Easy |--------------------------------------------------------------| Hard
Just a scale! So you say that games these days are easy anyways, right? So, GW2 would be around here:
GW2 without auto-loot:
Easy |--------------x----------------------------------------------| Hard
Agreed? Then you go on to say that 'complete auto-loot makes it even easier'... Would you agree if, according to your text, I then changed the difficulty to:
GW2 WITH auto-loot:
Easy |----x--------------------------------------------------------| Hard
Yes, no?
By definition, doesn't that mean that a game that DOES NOT have auto-loot is *harder*, *more difficult* than a game WITH auto-loot?
Just going off from your text.
So, yes, you are in fact saying that not having auto-loot helps the difficulty of the game. ^^' But I guess I'm just being too much of a smartass right now.
