#2204925 Dare to Criticize Guild Wars 2

It is not ArenaNet that have pushed in millions of dollars to create GW2. It is not ArenaNet that pays salary for those 300+ employees. It is not ArenaNet that pay for all the advertisement or the servers.
See? ArenaNet isn't really paying for anything, so why should they get the money?
ArenaNet if fully owned by NCSoft, therefore all their money are NCSofts money.

I am not really trying to make any comparisions, I simply state that a expansions worth of features is a rather loose term and does not mean it would have the same amount of content as a WoW expansion that have several millions behind it.
I'm just saying that you are using what appears to be some pretty bad expansions to make your point that GW2's isn't quite as bad as those ones.
I honestly don't know what an expansion worth of content looks like other than what we got in GW1, and I can't say what we got in GW2 has come close.

Rise of Isengard.
Added nothing new in terms of features. A couple of new rather small areas, one raid that is still broken several years after release and that was about it.
How many expansions reach this level of failure (LOTR's)? Is it really worth being literally the only person in this thread so far to say that GW2 hasn't released an expansion worth of content by comparing it to something that is as pathetic as you make LOTR's one expansion seem?
Is that really the comparison you want to make?

I didn't get around to checking out all the NPC dialogue since I was on a mission to get my tentacle pr0n back piece and farm for boxes that never drop. Maybe I should go chat up the NPCs! This stuff sounds juicy.

I don't get it, does he need to compete himself to write commentary on it? He wasn't even speaking like Eon, he might have posted criticism that you or the people in the vid may not have liked, but it was legit criticism nonetheless
#2200871 Why hasn't Anet addressed the current zerker or gtfo pve endgame?

ArenaNet's aim was to replace it with a new trinity - DPS/support/control. In principle, that should work (essentially, it's really a rebranding of the existing trinity - tanks are a form of control, healing is a form of support). The actual problem is that they've then gone and created a PvE endgame where in most combats where playing to your best really matters, one of those legs (support) is lamed and another (control) is pretty much disabled entirely.
What they need to do is rework how they do control protection on bosses so that it doesn't basically boil down to "it has defiant so don't bother", and rework how they do boss battles so that the best strategy in most of them is no longer "spread out so far that you can't support one another if you wanted to so that only one character can be nuked at a time". Essentially, while profession balance is an issue, what the devs really need to do is go back to the drawing board with their encounter design and start making combats that are challenging without effectively disabling support and control.

Offical Forums Post: REMOVED BY ANET - "Moderator Note: Thank you for your report. To prevent possible exploits from spreading, exploit reports will be removed from the forums. We kindly ask you to report possible exploits to the team by sending an email to exploits@arena.net. Your thread has been deleted. "
This is not a confirmation from Anet that this is an exploit. This is a standard response to a player reporting what they feel is an exploit. Until Anet bans people, fixes the situation, or announces in official channels that it is an exploit, you are unable to use this as proof that it is an exploit. They thanked you for reporting something and told you why they removed your post. Please note the word possible.
Based off of Anet's actions in the past? This will be treated as an exploit. Based off of the code of conduct? You are guilty of harassment by pretty much any definition of the rule. You were actively going out of your way to prevent other players from doing what they were trying to do. You took it upon yourself to act for Anet in a matter that Anet had not officially made a decision. Doing so is not something that should be commended, and is easily interpretable as against the code of conduct. It doesn't matter that you enjoy doing the event for the sake of doing the event now. Those times that you specifically targeted other players in order to prevent them their goals were punishable. Do I think you will be punished? No. Do I think you could be? Oh yes.
Now, as a moderator. Everyone here needs to stop insulting each other.

Whether he enjoyed ruining farmers who abuse players for trying to complete content is beside the point. He did nothing wrong. he did not "act for Anet", he played some content and completed it.
Harassment is "...commonly understood as behaviour intended to disturb or upset, and it is characteristically repetitive."
What you actually do has nothing to do with if you are harassing or not. It is why you are doing what you are doing and by his own words "and you’ll be trolling a bunch of farmers at the same time" one of the points of this is to upset others. He is even calling for others to join him. Everything else (the rewards, it being a fun event, and being challenging) are rationalizations put there to make the activity more appealing to others. By definition, harassment is at hand.
The first time he went to complete the event he went to complete it for the purpose of completing it. Since then, he has been completing the event for the purpose of upsetting the people who are farming the event, as he stated. The comments he makes in his video make it even more plainly obvious that trolling is the primary goal of these actions.
My purpose is only to bring up that these actions are just as reportable, and just as banable as exploiting is.

Just because I'm not ashamed to admit I get a bit of pleasure out of knocking these guys down a peg you believe that means it's the only reason I do so.
My purpose is to STOP this event from being farmed, to remove the problems it causes. My call to other players is to do the same.
I make no excuses for my actions, which is far more then most of the people defending this farm are honest enough to do.
Harassing people who harass people is still harassing. You recognize you are trolling, and you admit that your purpose is to stop others from doing what they want to do. You are harassing others. You are trolling. You are breaking the rules just like they are. You say you are not making excuses for your actions, yet that is exactly what you are doing. Your word choice, what you talk about in your video, and how you are portraying yourself shows that your goal is to stop these people from doing what they are doing. You just proved my point. I also never said that trolling is the only reason you are doing this. The fact that it IS a reason at all is what matters.
I am not saying anything bad about your person. I am not disagreeing with your actions. I am just letting you know, that what you are doing is 100% bannable.
Playing an event to completion is not harassment, and I have never said it was. Going to a location specifically (or even largely) because it pisses other people off is harassment even if those other people might be breaking the rules. I am positive your parents told you that "Two wrongs don't make a right."

Excellent idea to spread the information.
Do you know any other places where lots of low end +level 70 mobs spawn? if so, post away!
